  • Planning resources and materials for timely NPI program execution
  • Working with the functional engineering leadership team to grow functional and domain expertise within the team
  • Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science
  • 2-3 years experience in project leadership or driving new product introduction. Experience working in cross-functional relationships, strong influential and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding/experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle

Desired Characteristics:

  • Masters Degree in Engineering
  • 4-5 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development, or research environment.
  • Demonstrated applied 6 Sigma competency
  • Demonstrated experience with NPI ISO and regulatory compliance process, design history file and collaterals are in place and current
  • Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
  • Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving closure of a product/program

Description:
The Design Control Lead Quality Engineer will manage quality systems, processes, and procedures to assure product safety, quality, and site compliance by driving business alignment to industry requirements for the Haifa PoC Ultrasound business.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for compliance across Ultrasound business – Design Controls
  • Strategic partner with supporting functions – Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Service
  • Providing leadership and facilitates problem resolution, and mentoring of team members, including accountable to ensure, follow up, and/or implement corrective actions that are raised by deviations, internal audit, or regulatory inspection.
  • Creates a Quality culture by driving compliance activities for the Haifa PoC Ultrasound business. This includes being responsible for the total quality management system for the business and driving Quality metrics, including engaging strong intradepartmental and cross-functional/organizational relationships to drive Quality System Requirements (QSRs)
  • Drives execution for all key quality system metrics; Owns Quality Compliance Scorecard and facilitates appropriate operating mechanisms to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Leads efforts regarding continuous improvements projects across Ultrasound Business


1. Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the medical device industry and/or regulated industry.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral).
3. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications.
4. Demonstrated understanding or aptitude to understand Medical Device QMS requirements and regulatory requirements including but not limited to FDA CFR 21 820 and ISO 13485.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated ability to develop & lead process implementation
2. Experience with all of the following:
 Design controls, design verification and validation activities, SDLC, Design Transfer, Design changes
 CAPA, complaints and risk management
 Root Cause Analysis tools
 Production and process controls
3. Experience conducting internal audits
4. Lean Certification is a plus
5. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and networking skills
6. Prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
7. Demonstrated ability to successfully comprehend & carry out/execute actions
8. Effective oral and written communication skills
9. Analytical & problem-solving skills/root-cause analysis
10. Conflict-resolution skills
11. Ability to prioritize and drive multiple programs

As a Lead System Service Integrator, you will be the single point of contact for service engineering deliverables globally across multiple features and various post-market activities. The role requires collaboration with all functions within the organization and will involve the entire product lifecycle from definition to verification/validation and post-market engineering support. You will enhance service technology by integrating customer data, improving product reliability, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement serviceability strategies, including troubleshooting protocols and preventive maintenance plans
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement system service integration strategies
  • Develop service design concepts based on user needs and ensure their allocation to subsystems.
  • Ensuring that MI systems, subsystems, or component designs meet service requirements, from install, troubleshooting, repair, to preventive and proactive maintenance.
  • Strategize and lead the development of service documentation and training to ensure product success over its lifecycle.
  • Proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies to avoid execution gaps or delays in service deliverables.
  • Work closely with online centers, field engineers, customers, and program leadership to align project deliverables with larger programs.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and provide regular reports to management highlighting areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related field). Master's degree preferred but not required.
  • 5-7 years of experience working with cross-functional, global teams, with at least 3 years in a service lead/project leadership role.
  • Experience with medical imaging devices would be advantageous.
  • Experience responding to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ability to facilitate and manage online meetings with large attendance and unplanned issue resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
