As the Sr. Lead System Designer (LSD) for CT, you will lead system design and ensure appropriate processes are used for Design & Development of features and overall solution. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent the design team and design control process from requirements development and design planning to design transfer.
  • Lead development of requirements flow down, Architecture/System design and analysis, risk analysis, Cybersecurity analysis, integration and test, manufacturing, field and customer support including corrective and preventative actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the design team in the development of verification and validation planning and execution ensuring quality targets are met. Involve with Verification Lead to quantify and benchmark product Quality and NFR.
  • Ensure through detailed comparative analysis of solutions options that solutions are scalable, sustainable and fault tolerant.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams across sites to manage technical program risks, integration risks and design tradeoffs.
  • Work to ensure QMS compliance, DHF readiness & regulatory paperwork to enable CT programs towards achieving regulatory compliance and commercialization.
  • Contribute towards product strategy, drive architecture decisions, and design solutions to resolve challenging customer problems.
  • Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving designs in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest development technologies and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along with established technology leadership credentials across disciplines and functions.
  • Experience in working across Imaging modalities & handling LSD responsibilities.
  • Experience in design & development of HW-Hardware /SW-Software /Systems designs. Preferably medical devices like CT, MR.
  • Expert level skills in collaborating with different stakeholders, influencing decisions and an ability to take strategic view.
  • Proven track record of successful problem definition, architecture/design rigor, technical decomposition, and project estimation.

4. In coordination with the PSL, own and deliver GEHC Product Cybersecurity Standard artifacts, which includes:

  • Create Design Engineering Privacy and Security (DEPS) artifacts for privacy and security risk assessments to engage in domain-specific product threat modeling, attack surface analysis, risk management and reduction
  • Coordinates with the PSL to support the product team in scheduling and performing vulnerability scans and cybersecurity assessments
  • Lead product Security Technical Design Reviews
  • Along with the product LSD, responsible for the GEHC Product Cybersecurity Standard compliance and other pertinent standards and process.

6. Works with the GEHC Product Security team and QARA on released product life-cycle, including:

  • Participate in post-market product vulnerability monitoring
  • Participate as an Subject Matter Expertise to determine product vulnerability impact, investigation, and risk assessment.
  • Responsible for product vulnerability mitigation and design change.
  • Responsible for GEHC vulnerability tool update to ensure accurate customer communication.

8. Provide technical expertise on customer concerns, complaints, and CSO escalations.

9. Create/Maintain responsible product records within GEHC product cybersecurity tools.

10. Active involvement in DoD RMF submission process and maintenance.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security) or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
  • 3+ years of progressive experience as adevelopment/cybersecurityengineer or scientist/researcher working with a cybersecurity skill set.

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job as it pertains to onsite repair, installations, and escalations on an as-needed basis.

• Deep technical acumen in one or more healthcare modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to handle/resolve complex technical issues and apply expert-level knowledge to applicable systems.

• Excellent multi-tasking skills to manage complex remote trouble shooting process.

• Exceptional customer-facing communication skills

• Ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Ability to travel up to 20% or more as required to customer sites, training and other HQ sessions.

  • Work closely with cross functional teams across sites to manage technical program risks, integration risks and design tradeoffs.
  • Work to ensure QMS compliance, DHF readiness & regulatory paperwork to enable CT programs towards achieving regulatory compliance and commercialization.
  • Contribute towards product strategy, drive architecture decisions, and design solutions to resolve challenging customer problems.
  • Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving designs in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest development technologies and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along with established technology leadership credentials across disciplines and functions.
  • Experience in working across Imaging modalities & handling LSD responsibilities.
  • Experience in design & development of HW-Hardware /SW-Software /Systems designs. Preferably medical devices like CT, MR.
  • Expert level skills in collaborating with different stakeholders, influencing decisions and an ability to take strategic view.
  • Proven track record of successful problem definition, architecture/design rigor, technical decomposition, and project estimation.
  • Analysis and development of design requirements at domain level, aligning architectural requirements with system development strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, and schedule.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve.
