As a Software Engineering Intern, you will:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and grow your technical expertise.
  • Write clean, maintainable code (primarily in Java) that meets project requirements and coding standards.
  • Develop and maintain automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression testing.
  • Contribute to manual test creation, execution, and documentation.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving software bugs.
  • Gain familiarity with GE HealthCare’s internal tools and development processes.
  • Help maintain high-quality project documentation.
  • Follow guidance and mentorship from senior team members.
Qualifications/Requirement
  • Ongoing university studies in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
  • Availability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week (up to 40 hours).
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java is required).
  • Basic experience with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding code quality, testability, maintainability, and documentation.
  • Residency in Hungary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Interest in healthcare technologies and advanced visualization.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid setup from GE HealthCare’s Váci Greens office (1–2 days/week onsite).

You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining directory and identity management solutions within the enterprise. Your expertise will span Tier-0 infrastructure, including Microsoft AD, EntraID, LDAP, Storage and Compute platforms. You will be an L4-SysAdmin, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting complex issues. Responsibilities include

  • SysAdmin:
    • Guard and Delegate DA/GA/SUDO credentials.
    • Support large-scale Directory and Identity Management projects.
    • Identify technical and operational challenges and propose solutions for execution.
    • Perform capacity planning and security analysis as needed.
  • Directory Design and Administration:
    • Work in concert with Network, Certificate, Storage, and Hosting teams.
    • Manage and optimize up-time across multiple AD forests, LDAP domains and other services.
    • Familiarity with technical triage of services and applications integrated with Active Directory, LDAP, EntraID and others.
    • Working knowledge of GPOs, AD Sites, Replication Topology, and troubleshooting tools such as NSLookup, TraceRt, Telnet, NetCat, TCP Dump, Wireshark, Nmap, NetUtils, IP Scanning.
  • L4-Operations Management:
    • Dispatch ticketed inquiries / actions from Application and Business teams
    • Act as an escalation point for complex support issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve critical incidents.
    • Ensure high availability and reliability of directory services.
    • Utilize PowerShell, Python, Perl for automation and analysis
  • Qualifications:
    • Experience: 5-10 years managing IT systems spanning network, directory, storage, hosting.
    • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside order management and customer service professionals within various fields related to the execution of customer orders in DACH region. You will gain exposure supporting the Sales teams and assisting the greater Supply Chain organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant.

  • Answer all questions and ensure correspondence with internal and external customers on all topics related to Order Management.
  • Manage credit, returns and invoicing.
  • Work in compliance with the documented quality system and report any anomalies
  • Production planning and control
  • Coordinate shipments with forwarder
  • Manage customer formalities
  • Perform logistics distribution duties
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an operations related field, or relevant degree.
  • OR 3+ years of operational logistics, supply chain and customer service experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must be very familiar with common formulas and tools (vlookup, if, sumif, index, match, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems Oracles, SAP, etc.
