Description:

With us you will

• Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with the customer, from the initial RFIs, through to RFPs & RFQs when required. This includes the project management and active participation in POCs in partnership with the relevant teams both internally and within the customer and/or commercial partner.
• Have the ability to listen and to understand the technical requirements of the customer, reading between the lines to build a solution, which outperforms the competitor offering.
• Be the primary technical point of contact for the customer(s) and partners in close collaboration with your sales partner.
• Continuously strive to improve knowledge around the Fortinet products and solutions, along with maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet’s ability to provide long lasting protection against the ever-evolving threats.
• Have a strong ability to position Fortinet solutions to the customer, whether this be remotely or in person. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to confidently present through whiteboarding, technical white papers, technical plans or customer discussions.
• Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained.
• Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).

Apply if you

• Have a high aptitude for security technology, specifically encryption, authentication, with further knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN and WAN being desirable. The CISSP accreditation would also be beneficial.
• Are currently or have previously worked in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end to end technical aspects of deals, through to technical closure.
• Can demonstrate your problem solving skills and how this has impacted key wins within your current organisation.
• Understand and can demonstrate your ability to build and maintain customer relationships, including your ability to effectively communicate technically to a range of both external and internal stakeholders.
• Have a strong understanding of security solutions, that includes and is not limited to: firewall technology, routing, SD-WAN, switching, IPSEC and SSL-VPN, anti-ddos solutions, web application firewall, SIEM, SOAR, authentication, dual-factor and multiple factor authentication, end-point security, sandboxing, email security, SASE.
• University degree; engineer diploma;

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first level supervision to a group of Technical Account Managers and Advanced Support Engineers, managing workload, response, resolution and quality.
  • Be the escalation point for direct reports and our customers.
  • Monitor and manage support engineer queues and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Perform routine case reviews and provide feedback.
  • Participate in the quality calibration and validation process
  • Improve productivity by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in methods, processes and tools.
  • Monitor and manage operational and customer satisfaction metrics to meet organizational goals.
  • Provide input to training and development planning and performance evaluations.
  • Manage customer escalations; follow up with customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales
  • Participate in the lifecycle of a services subscription business by being in involved in scoping, renewal negotiations, including the upsell of services
  • Drive a high level of customer satisfaction, measured by ticket and quarterly Advanced Support surveys

Experience:

  • At least 2+ years of support management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly desirable to have worked with Fortinet products.
  • At least 2+ experience with direct customer interaction, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • At least 2+ years experience in a technical support role in a networking/security company or equivalent education.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches
  • Experience working in with security products firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, Anti Spam, virus scanning
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux
  • Previous call center experience, preferably supporting data networking products and/or security products is desirable.
  • Strong English skills both written and verbal.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing

  • Software testing experience
  • Scripting experience for auto testing
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching
  • Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software
  • Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals
  • Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows and Unix environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments
  • Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results
