In this position...

You will be responsible for “depth and breadth” on all shifts/crews within a department, delivering all department scorecard objectives, owning processes (e.g., constraint management/VRT), standardization across all workstations within the area, planning change, determining continuous improvement opportunities, and serving as a change agent to drive the Ford Production System.

What you'll do...

• Manage all Pre-Delivery operations (CAL, MVL, Rough Road and Ship to Gate counts)
• Manage Finished Vehicle inspection processes and coordinate on-going review / update of the measurement systems and mandatory process requirements based on customer feedback (GQRS / Warranty / Export Markets)
• Manage the Finished Vehicle Inventory within plant objectives
• Manage department direct and indirect manning
• Assure Government Regulations, Safety, and Inspection Audits and critical function system reviews are conducted properly and reported to prevent campaigns
• Coordinate real time plant quality concern feedback to production departments
• Work with plant personnel to initiate appropriate containment and corrective action
• Oversee Pre-Delivery and Finished Vehicle Audits for all pre-build events
• Manage department costs to meet objectives
• Develop and Mentor plant personnel on the QOS, coach and train on the appropriate use of standard Quality Tools
• Champion and deliver the plant Policy Deployment Process for Quality
• Promote teamwork in hourly and salary workforce

In this position...

You will direct and control the management of production and non-production materials from the loading/unloading receiving/shipping docks, shipping/receiving CMMS transactions, line feeding up to the point of use to the production customer, which includes proper storage, material disposition, Hazmat, continuous improvements in PMHV equipment activity, removing scrap material, forward model launch timing and change control, synchronous material flow, marketplace management, onsite switching, bull pen management, container management, and industrial material.

The hourly rated positions available at Ford Motor Company manufacturing or warehousing facilities are for vehicle or vehicle component assembly. The production worker is required to assemble the vehicle or component part using the materials and tools provided in a predefined order and process. These positions may require the selection, manipulation, attachment of parts onto the vehicle or component using power or hand tools, hoists, or other equipment and machinery.

Rate of Pay and Benefits:

• Starting wage rate at $21.00 per hour plus applicable shift or crew premiums
