As an embedded software engineer at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, you will be a driving force of innovation and progress. You will be responsible for developing and supporting embedded software for a wide range of automotive projects.
Your skills in computer science, software engineering, electronic design and coding will be integral to solving headaches and advancing the company’s goals. You will be expected to collaborate with a dynamic team to develop software solutions that integrate with numerous hardware components.
By working within Ford’s shared software environments, you will provide the technical expertise required for testing and validating new designs. You will also be expected to create and maintain software documentation and tracking updates and fixes through reports and documentation.
You will need a strong understanding of the systems and architecture of embedded software development, and the ability to develop, test, and debug codes. The right candidate should have experience with programming languages, embedded systems, hardware, software, and be comfortable working closely with teams. Experience in agile, automation and version control principles is a plus as well.
The successful candidate will be an innovative strategist with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Fluency in both verbal and written English is required, as well as a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the ever-evolving tech industry.
