Reporting to thetheis responsible for security and accountability of inventory levels for the site. Oversees the evaluation and disposition of excess inventory and develops policy for reducing and controlling inventory.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction through negotiations of customer expectations and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.
  • Coordinates with customers, purchasing, project managers, business unit managers and warehouse managers.
  • Evaluates various data extracted from the MRP system.
  • Reviews and establishes the policies and procedures for the site with materials group.
  • Designs, develops, and enhances metrics in response to site or corporate requirements.
  • Responsible for accurate controls and procedures to be in place to properly implement cycle count operations and physical inventories
  • Responsible for disposition of excess and obsolete materials.
  • Inter-site materials evaluation and assessment of data.
  • May evaluate and correct inventory count discrepancies.
  • Evaluate excess inventory and negotiates with customer to reduce excess and obsolete material.
  • Negotiates sales price and coordinates the sale of excess material.
  • Reviews inventory portion of customer contracts.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices in addition to 6 years of materials experience with advanced experience using MRP systems. Master’s degree preferred. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business. Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functionaltechnologies/processes,industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site. Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, word processing, data entry, spreadsheet (PC), software.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.   • Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports, logs, and checklists

  • Maintain quality records as needed

Inventory Control Analyst

Shift: 7:00am – 4:30pm Mon - Fri

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Identifies root cause integrity discrepancies in the warehouse/stores.
  • Retrieves and researches information from the Manufacturing Requirements Planning system.
  • Liaises with other departments and senior department staff to highlight errors and implement improvements as required.
  • Carries out direct cycle count activities on site and coordinates count staff to ensure count schedules are maintained.
  • Assists in development of process improvements on site in relation to inventory related process steps and hold up for implementation.
  • Oversees and performs regular internal audits and external audit preparation in accordance to company's best practices and external required standards.
  • Produces statistical management information and key performance indicators measuring inventory performance and service levels provided to each customer.
  • Monitors procedural compliance; holds up implementation of new procedures in conjunction with management and operations.
  • Liaises with internal and external customers and deals with requests and issues.
  • Research excess inventory by customer and makes recommendations for reducing excess and obsolete material including coordination of movement of excess material back to the customer.
  • Negotiates sales price and coordinates the sale of excess material.
  • Provides escalation point to inventory management in relation to unresolved issues.
  • Maintains metrics acknowledge to site or corporate requirements and produces reports as needed.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • 2+ year of materials experience or experience using Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or related field.
  • Experience Microsoft Office Proficiency in Excel (Data analysis) and Power Point presentation
  • 2+ year of experience using any Warehouse Management system Software. (Atlas 2 & Baan)
  • Experience on analyzing data and provide guidance to management for effective decision making.
  • License to operate Forklifts (Cherry Picker Lift, etc)
