Reporting to thethewill be In charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites in order to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.

  • Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.

  • Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.

  • Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

  • Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.

  • Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).

  • Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.

  • Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.

  • Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.

  • Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.

  • Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

  • Administers workers compensation, OSHA 2000 log and return to work program.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.

  • +9 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word.)

  • Documentation skills

  • Ability to work effectively with others.

  • Supervisor previous experience

  • Experience working with more than one operation

  • KPI Tracking / Operational Excellence: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, OTD, quality, Accounts Receivable (AR), and financial performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Contract Compliance / Management: Ensure all services and activities performed by the site follow the contract and agreements. Ensure compliance with contract terms (set by the commercial team) and manage contractual obligations, all the non- contractual situations must be escalated to GAM’s (proposal).
  • Scope / Change Management: Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and resources effectively. Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Product Change Notifications (PCNs) in accordance with customer requirements. Ensure changes to scope are clear. Address any impact from the change request that needs to be adequately solved by the commercial team.
  • Forecast Management: Acknowledge input from demand forecasts and ensure alignment with production capacities (man, machine, materials). Supports the development of accurate forecast and demand plans.
  • Claims Management: Variance Management Tracking identifies possible claims and recoveries and addresses them with the commercial team for timely resolution.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production at Site level.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular updates and comprehensive documentation of program activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • ESG and Sustainability - Customer requirements : Implement customer requirements as agreed & vetted by Commercial Teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience of Program/project management in engineering, production, operations, supply chain, or related management.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Solid understanding – good grasp of relevant concepts and practices.

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge ofbudgeting/forecasting,cost control, and cash management (e.g., QvA).
  • Utilizes financial analysis to generate, evaluate, and make decisions that ensure profitability, with a clear understanding of the 'why' behind the numbers.
  • Understands contracts, including commercial (price, delivery, obligations, warranty, scope, etc.) supply chain and legal terms.
  • Knows manufacturing processes, including KPIs, deliverables, quality, supply chain management (Site inventory, turns, efficiency and optimization around warehousing), production capabilities (human, machine, materials - Bill of Material Pricing & Approved Vendor List), resource management, and continuous improvement to ensure on time delivery and customer.

  • Above work experience from large / Fortune 500 or similar manufacturing companies, e.g. contract manufacturing, medical devices, defense/aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, and/or food and beverage.

  • ISO14001, 45001

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

  • EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) greenfield process
