Reporting to thetheSr Manager – Global Supply Chain Designwill be theResponsible for managing the development of integrated inbound and outbound supply chain optimization models to enable Flex Embedded Power to minimize operating costs, facilitate manufacturing site selection, provide input into capital decisions and maximize profitability. Responsible for the technical development of cost models for inbound, warehouse and delivery operating expenses that include freight, product cost, labor, customs/duties, plus variable and fixed costs. Responsible for cross-functional engagement for model development and validation as well as stakeholder engagement for decision making.
What a typical day looks like:
Lead architect of supply chain network models and underlying data infrastructure
Primary contact with the stakeholder community for supply chain design analytics
Lead team to develop, manage and deploy supply chain models for selection of product manufacturing location, insource vs. outsource analysis and capital/capacity investment decisions
Manage project structure, key stakeholders, process and methodology for Supply Chain Design Projects
Responsible for the articulating results of supply chain design scenarios across all aspects of the Embedded Power organization
Ability to measure impact to both fixed and variable inputs when modeling different supply chain design related scenarios
Effectively work with a cross functional team of business development, industrialization, quoting and operations to ensure product manufacturing location minimizes total landed cost for the product
Collaborate with the Sales and Operational Planning & Business Development teams to ensure raw material, semi-finished goods and finished good supply chain can meet end customer service level requirements
Ensure RMAs and other quality related concerns can be addressed with the recommended supply chain design
Researches and articulates changes to the overall trade landscape around the different Embedded Power manufacturing and ship to locations
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar position
Experience in Supply Chain and Analytics
Knowledge of the MS Office (Excel, power point)
Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization
Strong communication skills
