Job Summary

Reporting to the Quality Manager, thewill be responsible for maintaining quality engineering programs, standards and improvements during product development.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Control the products qualities during product development to meet customers specified standards.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Supports Design Engineers and Quality Manager with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
  • Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
  • Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
  • Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
  • Support product, process and equipment qualifications.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience and training.
  • 6 years of experience working as a validation engineer.
  • Medical Devices experience / ISO13485.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operation.
  • Experience working within regulated environments and with Regulatory protocols.

Job Summary

Reporting to thethewill be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring volume, quality and cost goals are met.


Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Manages the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and in charge of the line’s success.
  • Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Guide a team of professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and acknowledge requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and explore operational problems and advise on their resolution. Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational comprehension and capability.
  • Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and contribute with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
  • Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
  • May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
  • Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years in automation, mechanical maintenance experience
  • 3 year experience managing individual contributors/large team
  • 3 years in electronic manufacturing field
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Ensures compliance of standards
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excel experience.

  • Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
  • Reviews and establishes material, equipment and manpower resource requirements.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of manufacturing equipment, ensuring both preventive maintenance programs and repairs.
  • Administer safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.
  • Generates productivity reports and other operations metrics.

  • Typically requires a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in addition to 3 years of operations experience.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Coordinates schedule of activities with customer on planning, scheduling, shipping and material acquisition during program start-ups.
  • Produces revenue analysis and annual operating (AOP) plan and other forecast reports.
  • Conducts special studies, investigations and analyses relating to the introduction of new products or processes to effect cost reduction and yield improvements.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s production control functions including Master Scheduling, ProductionPlanning/Coordination,Shop Scheduling, and Dispatching.
  • Develops, implements and approves items such as material requirements, planning systems, work in process tracking, material and labor variance controls and manufacturing performance reporting.
  • Approves quantities, schedules and parts list provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, receipt and issuance of production material requirements.
  • Responsible for planning, reviewing and developing production procedures and personnel.
  • Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, support performance and process procedures.
  • Interfaces with customers to ensure delivery commitments are met and with subordinates, functional peer group managers and senior management.
  • Develops material planning models to ensure proper material planning and optimal inventory positions for customer programs. Utilizes models for determining material planning parameters for components.
  • Interfaces with purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory.
  • Notifies Materials and Program Management of material situation that affect the attainment of the production plan.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices.
  • 8 years progressive responsibility in production control and planning or related area, including supervision.
  • Experience using MRP systems and Excel
  • Experience in customer facing role
  • Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Experience working in a high volume and fast paced environment
