What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs the team in the use of best practices in the daily execution of finished goods and WIP planning
  • Responsible for the analysis of Excesses and Obsoletes, as well as the collection and recovery with the client through the analysis of Waterfalls.
  • Manages, coaches and mentors a team. Works with the team on continuous development and performance management.
  • Directs activities of Planners to ensure that inventory level and turn goals are achieved, including reduction of back orders and enhancing customer service.
  • Meets with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast. Works with team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events. Works closely with different departments to accurately develop and maintain an accurate forecast.
  • Hold cross-functional meetings to review the Supply and Demand plan
  • Communication with the client for material issues and generation of reports such as What if analysis, CTB, and Charges for PPVs.
  • Review issues and make recommendations that deal with long-term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, the current forecast, and backlog.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
  • Advanced experience in a similar position
  • Advance experience in planning and manufacturing, including supervision.
  • Fluent English
  • Strong knowledge in production, warehouse, purchasing and planning control.
  • knowledge and management of PCBs
  • MRP experience
  • Inventory management
  • I work under pressure
  • Results oriented
  • Direct materials management experience for factories preferred.
  • Kinaxis knowledge (preferred)
  • Ability to work as a team member and/or a team leader if necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and work well with all levels of management and staff

  • Work with Operations globally to ensure the appropriate Project Managers and project resources are assigned to all customer projects.
  • Accountable for supporting the performance of Project team(s) and Project manager(s)
  • Provide the necessary leadership and support to Project Managers to manage projects in line with project management processes and associated policies and procedures.
  • Support the program teams globally by developing strategic plans, goals, and timelines, and measuring Flex's NPIs, ramps, transfers, and operational results.
  • Ensure collaborative cross-functional Project team(s) and Project manager(s) participation to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control all phases of a project or subproject to ensure work efforts are executed on time, within budget, and according to stated requirements reliably and repeatedly.
  • Oversee the scheduling, and coordination of KPIs, and coordinate with various departments and Flex sites to drive excellence in Operations, NPI, transfers, and product launch processes.
  • Ensure effective communication between cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and timely transition of projects/products through all phases of the documented Flex product life cycle process.
  • Implement innovative solutions to achieve best-in-class results, emphasizing continuous improvement throughout all Flex product life cycles and gates management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the NPI launch management process through collaboration, metrics, project management, cost management, and Quote variance.
  • Broad vision and expertise in customer requirements to innovate and authorize projects, improving and/or extending the value proposition to existing customers, linking them more firmly to Flex.
  • Support financials by preparing and monitoring launch cost estimates with the PM and GMs.
  • Review launch costs and Financial P&L as necessary.
  • Track and manage project expenses alongside the NPI PM.
  • To monitor NPI financials and launch cost - Work closely with the site financial teams and the NPI PM.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with NPI.
  • Strong experience in Operations.
  • Experience with PNL.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Portuguese is also a plus.
