Reporting to thetherole involves being responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.

• Manages a team of professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.

• Reviews daily/regularly plant operating performance, evaluate areas that may be impacting performance, and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improveefficiencies/quality.

• Troubleshoots/analysesoperational problems and advises on their resolution. Holds regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operationalunderstanding/capability.

• Evaluate ideas for plant improvements and work with qualified engineers to develop project proposals to encourage improvements and changes.

• Providestechnical/operationaladvice to project teams.

• May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.

• May train and coach junior operators and junior team supervisors

• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.

• Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.

• Assists in department budget planning and manage department expenses.

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Ensures compliance of standards.

• Ensure that all manufacturing area personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions.

What a typical day looks like:

• Supplier Qualification--- Follow the supplier qualification process for PSL suppliers through a full supplier qualification audit that embraces: supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, onsite qualification audit, qualification database management.
• Ensures accurate data collection.
• Conducts supplier audits following regulatory, industry and internal quality guidelines including ISO.
• Conducts process audits and follow up closure of open audits.
• Helps department in the root cause investigation and corrective actions of audits findings, tracking to resolution.
• Initiates product/process improvements.
• Helps filing of audits and maintenance of records.
• Monitors and report metrics to meet business needs.
• Prepares investigation of and reports on audit results for follow up on areas of concern.
• Cross communication with GCMs

• Help the Global Auditor Certification Program through trainings to the applicants

• Has knowledge of a company's manufacturing process, applications and process development in order to actively work with suppliers in improving quality systems.
• Provides cross functional help to select, approve and develop suppliers to meet customer and business needs.
• Conduct regular documentation session for updates training material, procedures, etc

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years related working experience
• Working knowledge of product risk management standards and tools (e.g. ISO 14971, IATF 16949, FMEA)
