As an Product Design Technical Program Manager for VR Product Engineering, you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development cycle. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks, mitigation plans, and clearly communicate them to program stakeholders. Technical Program Manager, Product Design Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Product Design Engineering team to enable the definition and execution of next generation hardware products

  • Work with cross-functional teams (System PD, EE, Industrial Design, Reliability, Operations) and other cross-functional teams to develop best practices and technology development processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
  • Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs
  • Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams, leadership, and external customers
  • Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and PD design sprints
  • Manage communication within and between internal cross functional
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review
  • Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success
  • Up to 20% travel internationally
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience working as a technology development program manager or engineering leadership role in consumer electronics
  • Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models
  • Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs
  • Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation and characterization processes
  • Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of program top issue tracking and version control software
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and programs
  • Maintains composure in times of ambiguity and direction changes
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience working in a mechanical engineering field
  • Experience in 1P and/or 2P product development, defining requirements and program constraints, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders

Technical Program Manager, Connectivity Responsibilities
  • Closely collaborate with engineering, certification, and product management teams to drive, track, and deliver wireless technology features for the certification of Wearable products
  • Help drive the team to solve the hard problems and debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues that typically span across multiple layers from modem, middleware and the application
  • Create development, delivery, and compliance schedules based on device requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs provided by carrier engineering and WiFi, Bluetooth, regulatory and compliance certification teams
  • Create, collaborate with Hardware and Software stakeholders, communicate program status, and deliver on validation schedules
  • Work with data engineering to drive clarity and measure the right metrics
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans
  • Develop project goals and schedules based on product requirements, technical challenges, and business needs
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks, cutting through ambiguity and driving clarity
  • Drive device prescan and work with compliance team for final certification
  • Up to 15% travel
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience as a technical program manager working on wireless products (Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ultra-wideband, Near-field communication, App Integration-First-party/Second-party/Third-party)
  • 10+ years of experience as a program manager working in a cross-functional software environment or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Software Development processes including: source control, bug tracking, and design documentation
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of phase-gate approach to technology development projects
  • Experience operating autonomously in ambiguous and complex environments
  • Experience developing, debugging, and shipping embedded software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools
  • Familiarity with various operating System architectures and programming models
  • Understanding of wireless systems, and for systems software and embedded device architectures
  • Expertise driving high performance teams creating highly reliable, robust, and performant software
  • Hands-on experience coordinating and leading teams bringing up new wireless hardware and software systems and have significant experience debugging and repairing complex, multi-component system level issues
  • Knowledge of shipping software to production following different stages of testing and certification
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs, representing key data insights visually in a meaningful way
  • Define and manage Service Level Agreements for all data sets in allocated areas of ownership
  • Determine and implement the security model based on privacy requirements, confirm safeguards are followed, address data quality issues, and evolve governance processes within allocated areas of ownership
  • Design, build, and launch collections of sophisticated data models and visualizations that support multiple use cases across different products or domains
  • Solve our most challenging data integration problems, utilizing optimal Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) patterns, frameworks, query techniques, sourcing from structured and unstructured data sources

  • Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent

  • 7+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala or others.)
