Software Engineer, Product Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build innovative application experiences
  • Implement custom user interfaces using latest programming techniques and technologies
  • Develop reusable software components for interfacing with back-end platforms
  • Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance
  • Lead complex technical or product efforts and provide technical guidance to peers
  • Architect efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications
  • Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
  • Work on a variety of coding languages and technologies
  • Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of programming experience in a relevant language or 3+ years of experience + PhD
  • Track record of setting technical direction for a team, driving consensus and successful cross-functional partnerships
  • Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years relevant experience building large-scale applications or similar experience
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Javascript or Hack
  • Experience as an owner of a particular component, feature or system
  • Experience completing projects at large scope
  • Experience building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability
  • Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
  • Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Swift, or Kotlin
  • Exposure to architectural patterns of large scale software applications

  • Develop data-centric strategies to drive effective scaled programs aligning Facebook priorities and objectives across lead acquisition, product engagement and growth education.
  • Work with key product stakeholders to help define strategy, create metrics to evaluate success and measure impact of partner acquisition channels and service models for Facebook creators.
  • Analyze and rigorously measure results and make data-driven recommendations for optimization of future programs and content strategy.
  • Understand partner performance, collaborating with key stakeholders to develop recommendations for measurement.
  • Build data pipelines, queries, and reporting from multiple data sources (internal and external) to generate partner dataset for cross functional stakeholders to leverage.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years experience with SQL (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL, etc)
  • 5+ years experience with Python
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics roles
  • Presentation and communications experience with extracting insights from technical data sets to varied audiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing methods such as split testing, matching model, difference-in-differences for causal discovery
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python to build statistical models
  • Experience at a consumer technology or media company
  • Experience in growing scalable programs for Sales or Partnerships teams
  • Experience working in organizations with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working independently and a track record of taking initiative in dynamic environments
  • Experience to multi-task and adapt well to changing environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience as an engineer developing features within 3D real-time interactive products
  • 7+ years experience with systems programming languages such as C++, Rust, or similar languages
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience working independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building engine-level systems for 3D real-time interactive engines ( Unity 3D, Unreal, Frostbite, or other/proprietary )
  • Experience building for virtual reality (Rift, Quest, VIVE, Valve Index, etc.) or mixed/augmented reality (HoloLens, Magic Leap, ARKit, ARCore etc.)
  • Experience developing SDKs or shared technology that balances the needs of multiple shipping products
  • Experience with performance optimization of real-time applications (CPU, GPU, Memory, etc. )
  • Deep understanding of one or more real-time engine components ( Rendering, Collision, Physics, Input Processing, Audio, Animation, Networking, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of 3D math, linear algebra and physics
