EY is looking for an Assistant Manager for Tax – Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) practice. As a part of this team, you will be required to manage and monitor day to day operations related to client's engagements, possess complete knowledge of managing core Accounting & compliance functions.

Your key responsibilities

• Maintain a portfolio of clients, prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
• Lead and Manage end to end tax audits for the client including liaison with Auditors & clients, follow up for audit issues, manage correspondence with tax authorities on behalf of clients and implement corrective action if any.
• Ensure clients’ compliance with Zambian tax requirements, including Income Tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax, Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE), and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of tax compliance services, ensuring exceptional quality and client satisfaction.
• Provide ongoing support to clients regarding day-to-day tax compliance and reporting queries.
• Review and oversee the accurate preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).
• Stay current with evolving Zambian tax laws, statutory instruments, and international tax trends.
• Train and mentor junior staff on technical tax matters and best practices.
• Identify tax risks and exposures for clients and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, or equivalent.
• All academic qualifications must be ZAQA certified.
• In-depth knowledge of the Zambian tax framework, including Income Tax Act, Property Transfer Tax Act, VAT Act, Transfer Pricing regulations, and other relevant statutes
• Minimum of 4 years related work experience
• Experience in managing client facing finance team preferably in a Consulting organization or well diversified Industry experience
• Work experience in an ERP environment would be preferred

Key responsibilities

As our first point of contact for our clients and teams, you will manage your time between working on client sites and in our offices. Our projects typically involve managing multiple stakeholders and thus requires you to give the best advice using your knowledge and experience to provide the best outcomes. Your key responsibility will be to ensure a successful delivery of SAP Treasury and Lending strategies from initiation to implementation.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record.
• 3 to 4 years of consulting or major corporation treasury or bank treasury experience with focus on technology including treasury management systems specifically SAP Treasury2+ years of SAP Treasury consulting experience, preferably through multiple implementations with at least 3 full-life cycle implementations covering all phases of software development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, cutover and go-live.
• Hands-on expertise with any of the SAP Treasury core components (i.e. Cash management, Transaction manager, In-house cash, Risk analyzers, Liquidity planner, Hedge management and accounting, SWIFT integration, BCM, integration with financial accounting and other applications)
• Experience developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under inter-dependent project deadlines.Experience with treasury transformations, vendor selections, TMS implementations.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience on SAP integration with trading platforms and market data feeds

EY is looking for an IT Support Specialist to support project delivery, team management, client relationships management and business support in the Technology Risk domain.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide support in managing projects on IT Audit, third party risk management, software asset management, Service Organization Controls Reporting (SOCR), Privacy Solution champion for one or more solutions mentioned above.

• OX experience considered an asset
• Prior Big 4 experience a plus
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and/or leading projects, information technology operations, internal audit or internal controls
• Experience with project management, information security or IT operations based in large enterprise resource planning systems, such as SAP would be considered an asset
• Experience in Internal audits / IT Audit / Technology Risk in Banking / Financial services preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• All academic qualifications must be ZAQA certified.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in at least one of the following: financial statement audits; internal audits; operational audits; IT general controls assessments; Service Organization Control reporting engagements; and, ERP security and controls reviews (SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft)
