Your key responsibilities

What to expect

Your typical day will involve working in small groups on fast-paced projects with internal or external clients. You’ll be heavily involved in formal deliverables, developing financial models, researching industry and company financial information and speaking to your findings. We’ll look to you to get familiar with tax policies and implications and build your knowledge around research tools and resources so you can speak articulately about a business or industry efficiently and effectively.

Your key responsibilities

  • Have a leading role in providing tax advisory services to clients on all aspects of joint venture and partnership tax matters, including acquisition, formation, operation, restructuring and disposition issues
  • Prepare and review detailed financial models to quantify the various transactional outcomes involved in a particular deal structure and/or industry segment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and strong technical partnership tax skills, and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations
  • Provide high-quality and 'time-sensitive' service to support our clients' critical business needs
  • Build on technical competence by taking advantage of learning from nationally recognized tax professionals
  • Develop and guide junior tax professionals by providing effective feedback and training and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering, Statistics or related field and a minimum of six years related work experience; or a graduate degree in the above fields, Tax or Law and approximately more than five years of related work experience
  • Strong quantitative skills with an emphasis on accounting and corporate finance
  • Broad exposure to federal income taxation, including partnership taxation
  • Expert MS Excel skills with the ability to review complex financial models and build flexible calculations from scratch
  • Continuous learning mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including prior experience developing team members and interacting with clients or executive-level management

  • Microsoft Surface Hubs – Understand how to configure surface Hub settings, including display and audio settings, and network configurations. Ability to reset or reconfigure the device when necessary.
  • Crestron – Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues for Crestron devices, including wired and wireless connections. Ensure that all devices are properly connected to the network and can communicate with each other. Diagnose and fix audio issues, such as volume control, speaker output, and microphone functionality. Troubleshoot video issues, including display problems and resolution settings.
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms – Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues for MTR’s and ensure that the system is properly connected to the internal network. Ability to troubleshoot issues related to the MTR’s user interface, including touch panel responsiveness and meeting controls. Ensure the interface is properly displaying meeting information and controls
  • Additional technologies to support - Condeco, Barco Click Share, Pano, Polycom, Cisco, AV equipment (speakers, cameras, and monitors/kiosks)

Technical Responsibilities of an On-Site technician:

  • Providing support to all customers within your coverage location(s): who may be working on-site, at a client engagement or off-site
  • Troubleshooting and Problem solving: PC, MAC, application, AV, and network connectivity issues, etc.
  • ServiceNow ticket management; prioritizing tickets and awareness of SLAs
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows and MAC operating systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office365
  • Asset management: shipping, receiving, tracking, and managing hardware assets from acquisition through disposal process
  • Printer support (installation, configuration, relocation, and troubleshooting)
  • Event and Meeting Support (may occur on-site or off-site)
  • Occasional travel may be required to support other EY locations, client engagement sites, or off-site events
  • Provide remote hands support while guided by our network operations team (checking ports, tracing cables, rebooting hardware, upgrading devices)
  • VIP/White Glove support
  • Occasional after-hour support may be required

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, International Relations or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within industry. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, International Relations or a related field and 4 years of related experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within industry.

Must have 3 years of work experience applying relevant IT audit skills in audit engagements as a Financial Audit IT integration leader on own engagement.

Must have 3 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity focused on financial audit IT in public company audits.

Must have 3 years of experience supervising audit professionals performing the IT portion of the audit (IT general controls, ERP, application knowledge, system implementation, audit knowledge, and similar).

Must have 3 years of experience supervising the integration with the financial audit team on application controls, IPE, and IT dependent manual controls.

Must have 3 years of experience (employer will accept any combination of experience that adds up to 3 years) applying technical IT internal control knowledge for at least one of the following: (a) financial statement audits; (b) internal or operational audits; (c) System and Organization Control Reporting (SOCR); (d) information security risk and control auditing; (e) ERP and other automated business application security and controls reviews.

Must have 1 year of experience conducting IT audits in at least one of the following sectors: Insurance, Asset Management, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Real Estate, Hospitality or Construction.

Must be eligible to obtain CPA, CA, CISA, CIPP, CGEIT, CIA, CISSP, CISM, CIPT, CRISC, CMA and/or relevant certification within one year of hire.
