Description:

Your key responsibilities

As a senior manager focused on offshore production transformation, you will:

  • Lead solution development for offshore production and well operations, from ideation through client validation and MVP definition
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders across offshore operations, production engineering, facilities, and digital teams to understand constraints and co-develop transformation roadmaps
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on offshore production challenges, including water handling, flaring, artificial lift in deepwater, subsea constraints, FPSO operations, and capacity bottlenecks
  • Build and deepen relationships with offshore operators and NOCs, acting as a go-to expert for complex production systems and performance initiatives
  • Drive EY’s external presence through thought leadership, market engagement, and alliance activation with key OEMs, technology vendors, and digital platform providers
  • Collaborate with delivery and domain teams to refine EY’s offerings, from offshore optimization playbooks to predictive maintenance, real-time surveillance, digital twins, and autonomy-enabling solutions
  • Support strategic pursuits, define EY’s positioning, and shape proposal content for large-scale offshore transformation programs
  • Provide oversight during mobilization phases, helping bridge early-stage solution design with real-world offshore execution readiness

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep operational knowledge of offshore production systems, FPSO operations, subsea tiebacks, offshore well interventions, and late-life asset strategies
  • Hands-on understanding of production constraints such as topside processing limits, water handling, compressor turndown, and riser integrity
  • Familiarity with control and automation systems (SCADA, DCS), offshore telemetry and historian systems, and remote operations centers
  • Ability to design integrated solutions that span engineering, production operations, digital infrastructure, and field execution
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior stakeholders at operators and partners
  • A commercial mindset with an ability to articulate value and de-risk complex transformations
  • Strategic thinking balanced by real-world execution grounding in offshore environments

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in offshore upstream oil and gas operations, including deepwater or shelf assets
  • Direct experience working for or with IOCs/NOCs on offshore production, operations, or performance optimization programs
  • Exposure to leading or advising transformation programs involving offshore digital enablement, real-time systems, or data-driven operations
  • Ability to connect business transformation goals with enabling technologies such as digital twins, production AI, asset visualization platforms, and remote monitoring systems

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working with or advising engineering contractors, OFS providers, or OEMs focused on offshore facility optimization
  • Familiarity with emissions monitoring, offshore energy transition initiatives, or regulatory frameworks (e.g., GHG reporting, flare reduction targets)
  • A network of industry contacts across operators, service providers, and offshore technology vendors
  • Prior consulting experience or experience navigating complex organizational change within offshore asset teams

What we look for

We’re looking for a pragmatic strategist, someone who knows the realities of offshore operations and can envision how they must evolve. This role is for a leader who combines domain credibility with market-building drive. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping what comes next in offshore production operations - smarter decisions, safer execution, lower emissions, and more resilient assets. Join us to co-create the blueprint for the offshore energy system of the future.
