Your key responsibilities

To be effective in EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution Corporate Real Estate practice, you need to be able to make intelligent and informed decisions about people, place, and technology. As a Director within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution CRE practice, you will spend your days working on strategic and/or operational corporate real estate issues, while working with practice leadership and client management to deliver innovative solutions. A Director should have broad knowledge of at least three core CRE consulting disciplines - including CRE operating model and organizational design, service delivery and outsourcing analysis, CRE support for M&A / Divestiture transactions (pre-deal due diligence, integration support, and separation support), portfolio, workplace, occupancy strategy, and CRE IT / digital workplace strategy. This knowledge should be grounded in a passion for solving complex and often ambiguous client challenges. You will manage and execute projects across all sectors, supporting our client service teams across a national practice.

Serve as a Strategy & Operations professional to prepare and execute mergers and acquisition plans to maximize synergies and financial benefits from supply chain integration or separation of client operations as part of transactions. Understand the factors that drive successful mergers and acquisitions, and apply knowledge of the organizations involved in a deal to drive operational value. Provide operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle (including supply chain carve-out, due diligence and integration), whether supporting an acquirer or seller. Focus on enhancing value, accelerating implementation and managing operational transaction risk. Support and advise on operational aspects, from carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment and 100-day planning, to support the integration process.

Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 3 years of work experience.Must have 2 years of experience in business integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs including experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.Must have 3 years of experience in conducting assessments of supply chain infrastructure.Must have 2 years of experience in the supply chain integration or separation of client operations.Must have 18 months of experience in a consulting or professional services firm in mergers and acquisitions, which includes merger integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs of the supply chain function.Must have 1 year of experience in synthesizing approaches in complex integration or divestiture conflicts.Requires domestic and international travel up to 80% to serve client needs.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.

  • Managing a portfolio of diverse growth clients including privately owned corporate groups, privately owned business, high net wealth families, trusts, and other privately owned entities.

  • Oversee tax compliance, financial statements, planning, and assisting on advisory services for extensive client groups featuring diverse entity types such as trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals.

  • Working directly with Partners and senior Tax specialists in delivering advice to privately owned corporate groups, high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, and their owners on intricate tax matters, including restructures, domestic transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A, and specific trust issues.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in Tax Consulting, ideally in a top-tier or second-tier accounting firm or legal firm.
  • Experience in managing junior staff and their development
  • Advanced tax technical knowledge relevant to any of the corporate groups, individuals or trusts

  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
