As an Executive in the practice, you would be an important part of our diversely talented, highly experienced and award winning team. You will work at the forefront of valuation services provided to our clients (PE-backed and VC-backed companies, as well as other multinational companies), and you will have the potential to gain excellent career progression.

Your key responsibilities

• Carry out valuations, modelling and pricing

• Develop solutions for external and internal clients based on sound quantitative models;

• Collect and analyse financial market data and time series

• Review complex quantitative models developed by clients or third parties

• Participate in presenting the results to clients and prepare the reports that support our recommendations

• Assist senior consulting staff with analytics

• Work within available budgets and tight timelines while keeping the assignment manager updated on progress.

Skills and Attributes for success

To be successful in this position you will have an analytical mindset, strong communications skills and confident in liaising with internal and external stakeholders across all levels. You will be able to demonstrate practical experience and how you can apply this to the position and wider practice.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Proven valuation experience ideally from a consultancy environment

Your key responsibilities

  • Working under the supervision of Manager, Assistant Directors, Directors or Partners within Strategy and Transactions as well as other EY departments in both Ireland and internationally on the following assignments:
  • Working effectively as a team member by sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior members on progress.
  • Understanding our client requirements, co-developing our approach with the client, and providing value to our clients through insights, factual conclusions and advice.
  • Design, develop and document complex business models.
  • Review Excel models under supervision and arrive at preliminary conclusions.

To qualify for the role;

  • Ideally you will have an accounting qualification - CA or equivalent; a sound grasp of IFRS/FRS102 and financial accounting, combined with a high level of business awareness and a strong understanding of the factors that drive financial performance
  • Highly numerate with a sound grasp of Excel and a natural interest in using it to help clients to better understand their business or to make better business decisions
  • A track record in financial modelling, experience of working in a professional services environment, and exposure to high profile transactions
  • Additional technical skills such as Visual Basic or SQL and other programming languages would be an advantage
  • Experience with visualisation tools (such as PowerBI) would be beneficial

The following will be an advantage;

  • ACA, ACCA or CFA qualified with relevant experience
  • Minimum 2.1 degree, numeric subjects preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client focus are important, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates organization and self management skills
