Job Title: Senior Consultant- 12 Months Contract- Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide service (i.e. financial statements preparation and audit coordination) to the clients.
  • Bookkeeping – analyze and post journal entries, process invoice and payments, revenue recognition, bank and accounts reconciliation, among others.
  • Monitor and prepare financial statements submission to various regulatory authorities
  • Assist in the process of ensuring month end closing/reporting process comply with both internal and external policies

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from reputable overseas or local Universities.
  • A relevant professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-4 years working experiences within a large professional services company or similar environment.
  • Has a strong foundation in basic accounting concepts (e.g., accruals, deferrals, prepayments, etc.)
  • Should be capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting established goals & objectives within the specific deadline, while maintaining high quality work at all times.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in dealing with people at all professional levels will also be highly valued.
  • Should be proactive, highly motivated and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to travel within UAE for client requirements.
  • Familiarity with MS Office application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.

You will spend your time assisting with and managing the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding international tax engagements, ensuring technical and practical excellence to maximize client service quality.

Moreover, you will be a core contributor to the development of the practice through initiatives such as delivering internal training, developing precedents, sharing knowhow, participating in team and firm events, giving internal and external presentations, and producing expert articles for publications.

Skills and attributes for success

You will also need to have strong technical knowledge and subject matter expertise on the various topics related to international tax in addition to a keen understanding of the tax laws and codes of the jurisdictions you are expected to work with.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree focused on Tax, Economics, Accounting, or Finance in addition to an approved professional qualification such as ADIT, ATT, ACCA, CPA, CA, or LLB. Alternatively, a relevant Masters’ degree is also acceptable.
  • 6 years or more of relevant, client-facing international tax advisory experience.
  • Broad exposure to international taxation with focus on inbound and outbound investments.
  • Strong managerial, organizational, project management, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience of managing a team and/or mentoring and developing more junior team members

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Advanced knowledge or specialization in a particular area of international tax.
  • Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate tax risks and optimize compliance frameworks.
  • Conduct research on global tax policy shifts, OECD initiatives, and digital economy tax developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, economics, public policy) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Prepare and present insights to clients, regulators, and external stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

To qualify for the role

  • A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting
  • At least three years of relevant experience as Tax professional
  • Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred. However, we will consider candidates from governmental entities, or international firms.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules, dispute resolution processes, and tax authority practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including drafting technical memos and policy papers.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience engaging with tax authorities, regulators, and industry bodies.
  • Familiarity with OECD BEPS, Pillar One and Two, and global minimum tax frameworks.
  • Exposure to litigation support, arbitration, or alternative dispute resolution.
  • Client-facing experience in advising multinational corporations.

Client Delivery and Technical Leadership

  • Lead complex risk transformation engagements covering credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk , regulatory capital, and stress testing.
  • Design, calibrate, and validate risk models (PD, LGD, EAD) under Basel and IFRS 9.
  • Develop and review ICAAP frameworks, capital planning, and stress testing programs for regulatory submission.
  • Support clients in strengthening liquidity risk frameworks (LCR, NSFR, IRRBB) and aligning ALM practices with supervisory expectations.
  • Advise on operational risk frameworks, RCSA design, loss data analytics, and capital quantification under Basel III/IV.
  • Oversee engagement governance, ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and measurable impact.

Market and Business Development

  • Build and manage senior client relationships, including C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development through proposal leadership, solution design, and sector insights.
  • Identify emerging client needs (ESG, climate risk, AI governance) and translate them into new service offerings.

People and Practice Development

  • Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and innovation.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • 12–15 years of experience in financial-services risk management, either in consulting or at a Tier-1 bank.
  • Demonstrated success leading risk and capital-management transformation programs.
  • Experience working directly with regulators (e.g., SAMA, CBUAE, QCB, EBA, APRA, PRA).
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Exposure to fraud, third-party, or digital-risk domains.
  • International project experience across Europe, Australia, or APAC.
  • Professional certifications such as FRM , CFA , or PRM .
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML for predictive modelling, anomaly detection, or model monitoring.
