Your key responsibilities

  • Work as a team member in planning, execution and delivery of risk based internal audit engagements as well as other risk areas such as internal control, enterprise risk management etc.
  • Work effectively as a team member, sharing and taking responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
  • Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and regulators
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with team and client personnel
  • Carrying out consulting and audit activities according to SOX, COBIT, ISO standards and COSO framework etc.
  • Design, optimize and implementation activities on business processes for clients
  • Control design and testing activities both business processes (including credit, deposit, credit card, treasury, accounting, financial reporting, payment systems, revenue, fixed asset, purchase, payroll etc.) and ITGC (access management, change management and IT operations management)

What we look for

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in audit, internal audit, IT audit, internal control or risk management functions. Having prior consulting experience with a Big 4 firm, consulting or audit firm or large global institution is an asset.
  • Familiarity with risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
  • A good understanding of local and international regulatory requirements
  • Analytical skills and competence in recognizing cause and effect relationships and inquisitive approach
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools
  • Business process design experience including experience with design tools such but not limited to ARIS, Signavio, MS Visio and other is an asset
  • You will bring your significant experience in applying relevant technical knowledge in at least one of the following engagements: (a) Internal Audit and Internal Control ; (b) Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Digital Risk ; (c) Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Compliance and ISO certification
  • Relevant certifications, such as CIA, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, ITIL, CISSP, CIA; ISO27001, ISO22301 or PMP is an asset
  • English language skills - written and verbal communication

Your key responsibilities

  • Create innovative insights for clients, adapting methods and practices to fit project needs
  • Use your knowledge and implementation experience to shape our services to meet client needs
  • Use expertise to manage and deliver HR Transformation projects across various sectors, enhancing the change experience for diverse organisations.
  • Leverage your previous HR Technology experience to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose analysis, recommendations, solutions, reports, presentations, and other project deliverables
  • Implement and configure SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll to meet client requirements and business processes.
  • Conduct workshops to gather business requirements and provide best practice recommendations.
  • Develop and document functional specifications, solution designs, and configuration workbooks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other SuccessFactors modules and third-party systems.
  • Provide advanced-level support and troubleshooting for complex issues related to Employee Central and Payroll.
  • Provide advanced – level advice and guidance on payroll deployment approach and planning
  • Perform data migration and validation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay updated with the latest SuccessFactors releases and enhancements and provide recommendations for system improvements.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A relevant Degree or Qualification in Business/Commerce, HR, HR Technology, or Information Systems
  • Experience working with different HR/Payroll systems and HR processes including process review and design
  • Certification in SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll at a minimum
  • Completion of a minimum 3 end-to-end SuccessFactors implementations

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Understanding of HR Technology related business challenges and how to improve people and business experience
  • Proven experience designing and configuring New Zealand Payroll to ensure compliance with the state and national payroll legislation
  • Experience working in diverse team teams and/or project management activities on large projects
  • Consulting experience, including the ability to engage clients and colleagues at all levels and facilitate client discussions and workshops
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships effectively.

  • Connecting the outsourced accounting data entry team with the local accounting and shared service center teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Providing ongoing support to the client’s local accounting team during the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assisting the local accounting team in preparing monthly and annual declaration data (VAT-1, VAT-2, Withholding, Stamp, GEKAP, Provisional Tax, and Corporate Tax) to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Conducting a thorough reconciliation of all bank accounts to ensure financial integrity and accuracy (SAP system).
  • Reviewing broker fee entries.
  • Reviewing POs (invoices with PO numbers and open invoices), contacting relevant persons, and correcting any errors.
  • Ensuring that E-Invoice (Purchase) distributions are made completely.
  • Entering customs duty payment requests from the Supply Chain team in the bank system.
  • Reconciling with PO owners and uploading the file to the system so that PO provisions can be received correctly.
  • Checking commission invoices on an invoice-by-invoice basis to ensure that they align with the file prepared by Commex.
  • Checking weekly payment lists and confirming payments with the relevant parties.
  • Making vendor reconciliations when necessary.
  • Supporting other US GAAP and Local GAAP transactions when necessary.
  • Performing and reviewing daily accounting transactions of clients.
  • Performing month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Maintaining reconciliations with related and third parties.
  • Preparing tax returns and other compliance requirements.
  • Preparing payrolls for clients’ employees.
  • Coordinating and communicating with shared service centers and clients’ tax teams resident abroad.
  • Coordinating and communicating with clients’ tax offices.
  • Following legislative changes and implementing when applicable.
  • Coordinating with other sub-service lines of EY Tax team.
  • Supervising the engagement team.

What we look for

  • University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of Uniform Chart of Accounts and 4–7 years of experience in general accounting.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills; experienced in reporting.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of MS NAV, SAP, and Oracle accounting systems is an asset.
  • Familiarity with e-applications such as e-invoice, e-ledger, etc.
