Skills And Attributes For Success
Initial experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry (ideally 2-5 years).
Understanding of insurance or reinsurance business models, core processes, and regulatory landscape.
Experience in requirements engineering, including stakeholder alignment, documentation, and validation.
Exposure to agile delivery environments.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Strong academic background from a recognized university or university of applied sciences.
Fluency in English; German strongly preferred. Swiss German or other languages are a plus.

Your key responsibilities
You will combine strong technical skills with practical commercial, legislative and industry knowledge to lead a team in providing tax services. You will be responsible for a team to help manage our clients’ compliance and reporting needs. You will establish, maintain and strengthen valued internal and external relationships and ensure that the services delivered to clients is of the highest quality.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, put in place the necessary standardized processes, anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues as appropriate and drive performance-improvement solutions. You will supervise high performing teams and build a positive learning culture, coaching and counseling junior team members to help them develop. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines.

Senior Manager - Private Tax
As a Senior Manager to work with a range of exciting entrepreneurial start-up businesses, established private businesses and high net wealth individuals and families. You will be exposed to a broad range of challenges and experiences, and you will advise on a broad range of income tax issues. Working with a broad range of clients, you will also provide structuring advice on international investment vehicles.
Your key responsibilities
Drawing on your skills and experience in tax advisory, you will provide tax structuring and tax compliance services. This will include identifying opportunities to network and develop new business. Service design expertise, shown in translating complex requirements into scalable managed service models anchored in clear SLAs, outcome metrics, and governance frameworks.
Pursuit and financial structuring experience, with the ability to co-create propositions by leveraging EY solutions and delivery strength, tailoring them to client needs and shaping pricing models that convert fixed to variable cost, manage volume thresholds, and optimise transaction economics.
Delivery credentials, evidenced by work on Build-Operate-Transfer, As-a-Service, captive transitions, or ODCs, with a track record backed by KPIs.
Fluency in English and German, with Swiss German or other languages an advantage; 2–5 years in consulting or financial services, supported by a strong academic record. Direct experience in global delivery hubs such as India or Poland is an asset.
