Join our Audit team and you will help our clients meet their reporting requirements by providing an objective and independent examination of their financial statements, timely and constructive discussion with management on accounting and reporting matters, and a robust and clear perspective to audit committees.

Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications - External Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction.
  • Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
  • Direct fieldwork daily, inform supervisors of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
  • Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
  • Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff.
  • Provide performance feedback and training, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.
  • Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications - External

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or any other business related subject and/or an accounting designation i.e. ACCA, CA, CGA, CPA etc.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills (Dutch & English).
  • A dedication to teamwork and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding financial reporting and accounting inquiries, building strong relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Lead clients in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing strategic insights and recommendations to enhance their financial strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze clients' financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes for clients, including reconciliations and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clients' financial decision-making and strategic initiatives, driving value-added solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies for clients to safeguard their assets and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Significant experience in accounting, compilation, controlling, or financial reporting, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Caseware Cloud is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication (Dutch, English & Papiamentu) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

  • Experience with integrating test automation code with test management tools
  • Ability to guide and support other test automation engineers
  • English skill enabling to communicate in teams distributed across the world (B2+)
  • Ability to occasionally travel to the client’s location

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • ISTQB Foundation
  • Experience with managing test and test management tools (Azure DevOps, jira, CI/CD, TDD, BDD)
