Manager to Director – Enterprise Risk – Risk Consulting

We enhance performance through creating risk-enabled organizations and help clients identify important risks, design frameworks to manage them and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management. As a risk professional, you will be addressing client issues and transformations relating to Enterprise Risk Management (covering both business and IT risk), Internal Audit, Program Risk Management, process and controls design and effectiveness, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) implementations. Our solutions can be used by our clients to build confidence and trust with their customers, the overall market and when required by regulation or contract.

Your key responsibilities

This is a role where no two days are the same – so you’ll find yourself taking on plenty of new responsibilities as you go. You will be responsible for managing multiple client engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm. You’ll work alongside clients and colleagues, delivering our solutions and contributing to growing our business and developing our people. If you’re flexible and ready to adapt to a constantly changing environment, there’s no better place to develop your skills. Since you’ll be working directly with clients, some travel will be required. Below are examples of expectations from your grade:

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Accountancy, Business, Risk Management, Information Management Systems, Industrial engineering, or other related discipline
  • Manager: A minimum of 6 years of experience working as an IA auditor or Risk/Compliance adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within industry
  • Senior Manager:A minimum of 8 years of experience working in a leading position as Risk/Compliance consultant or an internal auditor for Consulting services firm, or within industry
  • Director: A minimum of 10 years of experience working in a leading position as Risk/Compliance consultant or an internal auditor for Consulting services firm, or within industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Enterprise Risk management, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC)
  • Willingness to travel outside of their assigned office location as the need arises
  • Strong data analytical skills are required

You will play a strategic role in helping clients identify sources of value creation and quantifying them. In a commercial capacity, you will regularly advise businesses on valuation issues related to acquisitions, divestitures, or restructuring, and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings. Additionally, in the regulatory and accounting domain, you will collaborate with management during the acquisition process to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements, providing fair value opinions for financial reporting purposes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business with at least 6 years of related business valuation experience; or a graduate degree with 3 to 5 years of related work experience.
  • Solution-driven individual with a proven record of solving complex problems, completing challenging projects, and developing client relationships.
  • Autonomous with experience in reporting to Director/Partner and handling business valuation, capital allocation, and portfolio optimization.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and a broad understanding of IFRS standards related to fair value measurements, business combinations, and impairment testing.

Ideally, you’ll also

  • Have previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm.
  • Have previous experience in coaching teams of junior and senior staff.
  • Have financial modelling experience.
  • Have an achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA;
