This role is critical to operationalizing the SDC and ensuring its success across the Canadian market and Super Region.

The Strategy & Operations Manager will be responsible for the setup, governance, and day-to-day operations of the Strategic Deals Center. This individual will provide support to the project management team for large deals, coordinate the SDC governance committee, manage the deal pipeline, and oversee the SDC intake process. Structured Finance Transactions Senior Specialist

Hybrid model: 2 days office/3 days remote

Your key responsibilitiesThe primary role of the SFT transaction team is to perform agreed-upon procedures (AUP) to help clients execute securitization transactions successfully.

• Checking the accuracy of our financial models by comparing calculations to the governing documents
• Creating cashflow/analytics models for securitized products, including but not limited to CDOs/CLOs (Collateralized Debt Obligations/Collateralized Loan Obligations)
• Transaction modeling and analytics, which involves cash flow modeling, recalculating certain collateral quality and concentration limitations set out in each transaction’s indenture, including bond principal and interest payments, credit-enhancement, hedging instruments, fees and waterfalls for structured deals

Manager - Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting

Join our fast-growing Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting team, situated within the Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) service line, as a manager. The role will give you the opportunity to work on EY’s largest multi-country client engagements in a tax accounting and direct tax capacity. This role will help you understand the global engagement metrics where you can contribute to the continuous process improvement plans and interact with global client management. The opportunity is for a manager who has prior technical knowledge:

• Direct tax compliance management for multi-national companies, including strong technical foundation in at least one country’s direct tax laws, compliance filings and tax audit management. Your key responsibilities

• Support the Global Process Owner (GPO) with managing the clients direct tax compliance and tax audit and controversy across multiple countries
• Oversight of the direct tax deliverables under the global outsourcing compliance engagement.
• Support in overseeing the overall compliance process/engagement.
• Managing the team and global client deliverables, central review of Direct Tax Global View Packs, presenting Global Data Analytics to the client where we will be sharing insights from client’s direct tax data across countries, helping the client manage major legislative changes which need to be planned for and tax opportunities which could deliver value.

Your key responsibilities

• Must have B1 & above in German.
• Leading calls with EY German client and German onshore teams to discuss work related issues, providing updates and discuss development on the engagement.
• Contribute ideas for improvement by comparing efficiency of audit procedures performed across different clients.
• Develop knowledge of use of EY technology and tools to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

Skills and attributes for success

• Language proficiency – Must have B1 & above in German.
• Willing to learn Technology Assurance concepts for day-to-day deliverables.
• Strong interpersonal and good written & oral communication skills.
• Proficient with MS office and Outlook
• Robust logical and reasoning skills
• Team player, with the ability to multi-task, flexible and can work under pressure.
• Commitment to continuous learning and proactively implement onto new processes.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• B.com/M.com/B.Sc. - IT/M.Sc.-IT/MBA/BCA/MCA/B Tech/M Tech or a graduate degree with IT major
• Language proficiency – Must have B1 & above in German.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in financial and business accounting concepts (desirable).
• Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
• Interest in business and commerciality.
