In Consulting, we provide a wide array of services to our clients, with a focus on Internal Audit and Risk Management. These services provide our clients with the comfort that their internal control environment is effective and efficient, in support term value creation.

You will primarily be responsible to execute internal audit engagements in line with client expectations. Building and maintaining exceptional long performance management and development of team members.

  • Team leader for internal audit assignments for our clients.
  • First review of working papers prepared by team members.
  • Drafting of high-quality internal audit reports.
  • Providing on-the-job training to team members.

What we require

  • Relevant degree in Accounting / Internal auditing or equivalent.
  • Candidate must have passed at least 1 of the 3 parts to qualify as a Certified Internal Auditor.
  • 3 years' consulting / internal audit experience.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedicated to teamwork and leadership.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Teams.

Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Recruiters and senior Talent Attraction professionals to identify and engage candidates for roles in CESA.
  • Utilize a range of sourcing tools to assist in identifying potential candidates and building a talent pipeline.
  • Guide candidates through the recruitment process by providing information about EY’s vision, culture, and values.
  • Screen applicants from the ATS for current opportunities and document preliminary interviews to share with hiring teams.
  • Support the development of talent communities and assist in managing referral campaigns.
  • Gather and analyze basic market data to support decision-making in sourcing strategies.
  • Participate in regular meetings with Recruiters and stakeholders to align on targets and objectives.
  • Assist in the creation of candidate marketing materials and techniques.

Associate: Financial Due Diligence and Valuation (Windhoek, Namibia)

Your key responsibilities

You will be required to support in executing the financial due diligence procedures on the Target company which includes understanding and analysing profit drivers and trends, challenge assumptions of future financial performance, analyse working capital and cash flow drivers of the Target and analyse the balance sheet in the context of a transaction. You will gain exposure to identifying deal risks and upsides and issues impacting deal valuation. Our TD teams assist clients throughout the entire transaction process.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Analyse financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management
  • Participate in due diligence engagements related to acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers
  • Prepare/evaluate pro forma financial information
  • Identify issues for purchase price reductions, deal structuring or deal termination
  • Identify post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements
  • Evaluate effects of seasonality on cash flow requirements. Perform industry and company research
  • Correlate due diligence findings with client valuations.
  • Manage expectations of service.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting and/or related major.
  • CA(Nam) or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Project management skills
  • People management skills
