Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of reports/dashboards and data models.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake as a data source.
  • Experience with migrating reports from any source to Snowflake. Teradata is preferrable.
  • Familiarity with SSRS and the process of migrating SSRS reports to Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.\
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
  • Good knowledge in GEN AI based automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse existing Power BI reports/paginated reports and SSRS reports to understand data sources and report structures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for the migration process.
  • Repoint all existing Power BI reports/paginated reports to the new Snowflake data source/parameterize the connection properties.
  • Migrate SSRS reports to Power BI, ensuring all functionalities are preserved.
  • Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.
  • Implement Row level security/object level security wherever applicable.
  • Configure the gateways/connections to support new data sources.
  • Automate/accelerate the migration process using GEN AI.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the migration process and new report functionalities.
  • Utilize Python for data manipulation and transformation as needed during the migration process.
  • Provide support and training to end-users on the new reporting solutions.
