Description:

Responsibilities:

The Compliance and Controls Analyst within the Enterprise Technology group will support production control development and implementation across technology applications and systems to ensure adherence with EY policies, internal compliance standards, and regulatory and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts in Enterprise Technology, Risk Management, and other functional areas to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Identify and assess compliance risks related to technology operations and processes.
  • Assist in designing and implementing controls to mitigate identified compliance risks, ensuring effective documentation.
  • Collaborate with application owners and function leaders to enhance and streamline the compliance controls framework.

  • Support the remediation of compliance gaps and the implementation of improvement plans to enhance compliance posture.

  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on technology operations and compliance strategies.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

The role requires a solid understanding of risk and controls compliance frameworks and processes, along with a strong perspective on the business and the internal stakeholders we serve. The Compliance and Controls Analyst must effectively translate business needs into compliance requirements, ensuring that the compliance strategies align with organizational objectives. A long-term vision for compliance initiatives and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs will be essential for successful implementation and management of compliance projects.

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, internal audit, or technology risk management within a global organization.
  • Knowledge of EY Service Lines and the business structure of Enterprise Technology.
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting and delivering large-scale programs/projects.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and foster team collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity to investigate and clarify complex issues.

  • Need to contribute in various technical streams during implementation of the project.
  • Provide product and design level technical best practices
  • Interact with senior client technology leaders, understand their business goals, create, architect, propose, develop and deliver technology solutions
  • Define and develop client specific best practices around data management within a Hadoop environment or cloud environment
  • Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion, processing and provisioning layers

Skills and attributes for success

Responsibilities:

The Compliance and Controls Analyst within the Enterprise Technology group will support production control development and implementation across technology applications and systems to ensure adherence with EY policies, internal compliance standards, and regulatory and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts in Enterprise Technology, Risk Management, and other functional areas to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Identify and assess compliance risks related to technology operations and processes.
  • Assist in designing and implementing controls to mitigate identified compliance risks, ensuring effective documentation.
  • Collaborate with application owners and function leaders to enhance and streamline the compliance controls framework.
  • Support the annual internal audit testing of IT general controls, System Development Life Cycle controls, application controls and IT-dependent manual controls including, but not limited to ISQM1, QC1000, Global Internal Audit, and other internal or external assessments.
  • Support the remediation of compliance gaps and the implementation of improvement plans to enhance compliance posture.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on technology risks and compliance controls to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on technology operations and compliance strategies.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

The role requires a solid understanding of risk and controls compliance frameworks and processes, along with a strong perspective on the business and the internal stakeholders we serve. The Compliance and Controls Analyst must effectively translate business needs into compliance requirements, ensuring that the compliance strategies align with organizational objectives. A long-term vision for compliance initiatives and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs will be essential for successful implementation and management of compliance projects.

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, internal audit, or technology risk management within a global organization.
  • Knowledge of EY Service Lines and the business structure of Enterprise Technology.
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting and delivering large-scale programs/projects.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and foster team collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity to investigate and clarify complex issues.
  • Proficiency in AI tools, Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Planner, Power BI, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex compliance concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with ISAE 3402, SOC1, ISQM1 or similar compliance management frameworks is a plus.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
