• Requirement: Team to support EY’s Quality Assurance (QA) Director for Government clients Profile of the Candidate- 1. Good English speaking and writing skills (from English-medium Public school) 2. Should be post-graduate (Economics/ Management/others) from Tier1 college (full-time course) 3. Understanding and working knowledge of Government functioning having interfaced with senior Government Bureaucracy to schedule meetings 4. Maintain physical connect with GPS Engagement Managers and work with them to schedule at least 30-35 SQA meetings each month with senior most Government Client Leadership 2. Also, must be able to obtain client details from the Engagement team/s to send emails to Senior client Bureaucracy/Hierarchy and then follow-up to close the meetings 3. Attend all virtual and NCR client meetings with GPS QA Director, take notes of the meeting and draft first cut of the ASQ reports 4. Analyse the ASQ reports and synthesize the data into SSL/ Sectoral/ Geographical cohorts for sharing the same with the respective Leaders 5. Support in scheduling periodic meetings with the GPS Leadership team on the SQA meetings done during the period with key pointers/actions expected by clients from EY. 6. Sanitise the list of GPS engagements with the Finance team on which SQA meetings must be scheduled on quarterly basis

Manager – Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting CoE

Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) – Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting CoE

Join our fast-growing Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting CoE as a Manager. You’ll support multi-country client engagements in tax accounting and direct tax, providing Group Tax Accounting/Reporting services under US GAAP and IFRS. In this role, you’ll contribute to process improvement and help redesign how we deliver tax compliance and reporting, ensuring efficient, high-quality outcomes for our clients.

1. Tax Accounting & Reporting

• Support the preparation and review of interim, quarterly, and year-end global tax provisions under IFRS and US GAAP
• Assist with tax reporting deliverables from controllers and tax managers across the Group
• Contribute to US GAAP and IFRS disclosure preparation, including reconciliation of GAAP differences
• Maintain tax provision memoranda and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, including SOX documentation and audit processes
• Key client contact, communicating with clients and building strong relationships.

2. Process Improvement & Compliance

• Identify and support implementation of process improvements in tax provision and compliance functions
• Coordinate preparation of tax account reconciliations and related schedules
• Monitor and manage the implications of new accounting standards and regulatory changes (including, but not limited to, BEPS Pillar Two)
• Help standardize and embed Group Tax Reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX
• Contribute to continuous improvement in tax reporting processes through design, control, and operational enhancements
• Managing account resourcing, budget and delivery

3. Leadership & Collaboration

• Support tax reporting aspects of M&A transactions, including purchase accounting and compliance
• Mentor and develop junior staff on ASC 740, IAS 12, and other key tax concepts; provide performance feedback
• Partner with internal tax, accounting, and finance teams, as well as external service providers
• Develop and lead onshore/offshore teams for seamless client service delivery.
• Ensure the highest quality standards and develop team talent at all levels
• Help setting engagement strategies and connect clients with EY subject matter experts.
• Serve as an escalation point for client and internal teams.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree qualified
• 5+ years of experience in corporate tax or direct tax accounting
• Strong tax accounting skills and experience in US GAAP and/or IFRS tax accounting provisions/projects
• Good experience in tax accounting packages and strong Excel skills
• Agile to the changing client environment and able to provide quality deliverables under tight timelines
• Experience providing tax services to a portfolio of clients
• Proactive and able to identify opportunities for business development
• Supervisory skills and ability to develop and coach team members

Additional skills and attributes for success

• ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA/CPA qualified or equivalent tax qualification (or working towards qualification)
• Understanding and working technical knowledge of ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 frameworks
• Corporate income tax experience across multiple jurisdictions
• Knowledge of withholding tax processes is a plus
• Experience managing teams and mentoring staff
• Strong communication skills and experience working with multi-country teams
• Ability to distil complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
• Organized and able to deliver tax accounting in a short timeframe
• Problem solving capabilities and process improvement mindset
• Ability to manage budgets and time to deliver quality output

• Experience managing international projects
