Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) – Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting CoE

Join our fast-growing Direct Tax Compliance and Reporting CoE as a Staff. You’ll support multi-country client engagements in tax accounting and direct tax, assisting with Group Tax Accounting/Reporting services under US GAAP and IFRS. In this role, you’ll contribute to process improvement and help deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Your key responsibilities

1. Tax Accounting & Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of interim, quarterly, and year-end global tax provisions under IFRS and US GAAP
  • Support tax reporting deliverables received from controllers and tax managers across the Group
  • Contribute to US GAAP and IFRS disclosure preparation, including reconciliation of GAAP differences
  • Prepare and maintain tax provision memoranda and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, including SOX documentation and audit processes

2. Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify and support implementation of process improvements in tax provision and compliance functions
  • Prepare tax account reconciliations and related schedules
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in tax reporting processes through design, control, and operational enhancements

3. Collaboration & Development

  • Collaborate with internal tax, accounting, and finance teams, as well as external service providers

Skills and attributes for success

  • Interest to learn and develop skills in accounting and tax area
  • Good communication skills
  • Organized and able to manage your work-load
  • Ability to work in dynamically changing environment
  • Basic understanding of Financial Statements and Corporate Income Tax
  • Any work experience/internship in accounting or tax area is a plus

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in finance, tax and/ or accounting
  • Half or 1 year of internship/full-time experience in the related field (income tax accounting, business tax, corporate income tax, direct tax, international tax)
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and work in an international environment
  • English language skills at B2-C1 level
  • Agile to the changing client environment and able to provide quality deliverables under tight timelines
  • Team player with the ability to add value to the current team

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own workload
  • Accounting qualification and/or Tax qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA) is a plus

  • Identify Pain Points: Look for steps that take too long, cause confusion, or lead to mistakes. This might involve reviewing reports, listening to employee feedback, or analyzing data to spot trends.
  • Gather Requirements: Talk to employees, managers, and other stakeholders to understand what they need from the process and what challenges they face.
  • Analyze Data Flows: Map out how information moves between people, departments, or systems. This helps you see where delays or errors might occur.
  • Summarize Findings: Prepare clear reports or presentations that explain what is working well, what isn’t, and where improvements can be made.

Process Design – Creating Better Ways of Working
