Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable data pipelines to support batch and streaming data workloads across cloud-native environments

To qualify for the role you must have:

• A BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other related, quantitative fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.Knowledge of Data Management concepts & methodologies.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Delta etc.
• Working experience in complex data querying (SQL, Spark)
• Experience in ETL/Pipelines design & development using industry tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Informatica Cloud Data Integration, etc).
• Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS etc.) and streaming solutions (e.g. Kafka) will be considered a plus

• Develop data pipelines under the guidance of more senior engineers, using programming languages such as Python, SQL, and cloud-native services and tools
• Deliver pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and validation of structured and semi-structured data from various sources
• Learn and apply data engineering concepts, including ELT/ETL, data modeling, data quality and orchestration frameworks on cloud and/or on premise
• Collaborate with team members on technical documentation, testing, and quality assurance activities
• Participate in internal training and client engagements to build hands-on experience across modern data platforms

Your key responsibilities

As a member of the Actuarial team, you will make a significant technical contribution to Insurance & Actuarial client engagements and internal projects. In particular:

• Participate in the technical delivery for a wide range of client assignments in either Insurance (Non-Life, Life insurance, Health or pension businesses) and Financial sector industry covering traditional actuarial activities like reserving, pricing, modelling, financial reporting (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS 17) or audit as well as broader topics like mergers and acquisitions, new legislations, big data / analytics, risk and capital management;
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility and knowledge, providing support, maintaining communication and update other senior team members on progress;
• Contribute to the attainment of group and individual goals by sharing knowledge, identifying business opportunities and productivity and facilitating teamwork;

To qualify for the role you must have:

• 0-2 years of experience as an actuary in the insurance sector gained from working either in an insurer or at an actuarial consultancy firm;
• Proven math and analytical skills, as normally acquired through the pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or any other quantitative degree;
• Strong team player with a passion for excellence and commitment to delivering work on time and with a flexible working style enjoying working with multi-national teams;
