· Undertaking technical research on income-tax provisions
· Preparing submissions in relation to assessment and appellate proceedings in the case of clients and support seniors in representation before the income-tax authorities;
· Appearing before the income-tax authorities on routine matters concerning the clients
· Support in handling administrative responsibilities for clients allocated to you such as engagement letters, internal QRM, filing of client papers, billing follow-up, etc.

This leadership role has multiple dimensions and is a combination of the following:
• Lead and significantly scale up the AI & Data practice of GDS Philippines
• Lead and manage end-to-end AI & Data projects for clients, including problem definition, data acquisition, model development, validation, deployment and monitoring
• Work with client and internal teams to solution/architect complex /large transformative deals in technology
• Own and anchor key accounts in the region and grow the GDS involvement in large numbers for GDS Consulting.
• Demonstrate thought leadership by active participation in AI & Data forums locally and even globally
• Represent GDS AI & Data team to various stakeholders in the country (e.g. community, educational partners, etc.)
• Collaborate with client facing and internal teams to prepare Point of Views, Position Papers
• Drive skilling programs in current team, including training programs, certifications & POCs.
• Coaching and Mentoring – Coaches Managers, Senior consultants, etc. within structured leadership training programs.
• Should be responsible for grooming next generation leaders, including women leaders
• Budget and Planning - Responsible for preparing budgetary outlay and its management during the budget cycle
• Demonstrate strong consulting experience, in-depth business knowledge in Data Engineering, AI and Automation areas of the business
• Ability to sell and deliver large scale consulting engagements with distributed delivery mindset.
• At least 12 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or artificial intelligence related modelling in the industry
• A university degree or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other data analysis tools and platforms
• High expertise in next generation technologies such as cloud, big data, AI/ML, etc.
• Strong knowledge of analytical modelling required for fields such as logistics & distribution, inventory management, stock policy, optimization, catalogue health etc.
• Experience in architecting and working on end-to-end analytics project lifecycle, including data acquisition, model development, validation, deployment and monitoring

Fincrime Asisstant Director
Hybrid model: 2 days office/3 days remote
Broadly, the role will include leading on the enablement of controls related to (1) Anti-Money Laundering (AML), (2) Economic and Trade Sanctions and (3) Anti-Bribery and Corruption. The successful delivery of outcomes will require the Assistant Director to help develop and improve the teams, processes, technology and policies which form part of the compliance programme. The role will include providing guidance and leadership to the Central Financial Crime team who lead the execution of enablement activities. Travel will be required on occasion for one-to-one and team meetings.
Your key responsibilities
• Contribute to and lead on the design and roll-out of services provided by the Central Financial Crime team. This includes deploying central team services to new countries/regions, including client due diligence operations.
• Provide guidance and consultation to Engagement Teams and Service Line Quality networks in relation to client acceptance and continuance decisions linked to financial crime.
• Review and enhance as necessary existing global technology to continually improve the enablement benefits to client servers and risk network.
• Develop learning content for network, including the continual review of Global SharePoints to keep the content engaging and relevant.
• Prepare material for the annual eLearning course for financial crime, working closely with a coalition of global SMEs.
• Lead conversations with the Global 2nd line of defence Compliance team to identify areas for control improvements and/or opportunities to up-skill users of 1st line controls.

Senior Associate within GDS Risk Management would be required to develop subject matter knowledge on various Risk Management functions and processes, including interpreting policies and processes, determining required actions and making recommendations based on EY guidance and acquired experience.
