Job Summary

This role is ideal for engineers and data scientists who want to apply advanced analytics to real-world financial-risk problems — building, training, and deploying models that power credit scoring, fraud detection, early warning systems, and capital forecasting.

You’ll work alongside senior quantitative specialists and risk professionals to transform model concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions using modern data-science toolchains and cloud platforms.

1. Machine Learning Model Development

• Develop, train, and optimize supervised and unsupervised learning models using Python, R, or equivalent frameworks.
• Apply algorithms such as regression, ensemble methods, time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, NLP, and deep learning.
• Design modular, reusable model pipelines with clear versioning and reproducibility.

2. Data Engineering & Feature Design

• Build and maintain data pipelines for model training and inference using SQL and modern data frameworks (e.g., PySpark, Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
• Conduct feature engineering , data cleaning, and quality assurance for large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Automate model retraining and validation workflows.

3. Model Deployment & MLOps

• Deploy ML models into production environments using containerization (Docker), APIs (FastAPI/Flask), or cloud ML services (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex).
• Implement monitoring, drift detection, and performance dashboards for live models.
• Collaborate with EY’s technology teams to integrate models into client systems securely and efficiently.

4. Collaboration & Development Support

• Work closely with quantitative and regulatory experts to translate conceptual requirements into technical prototypes.
• Contribute to EY’s internal accelerators and reusable AI components for risk analytics.
• Document code, model assumptions, and testing protocols following EY quality standards.

5. Innovation & Research

• Explore emerging AI technologies (e.g., transformer models, generative AI, graph analytics) for potential application in financial-risk contexts.
• Participate in hackathons, PoCs, and innovation sprints within EY’s global AI community.

Your key responsibilities

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Work closely with the Global SL Talent Leader and Directors to contribute at both an operational level to the successful operation of the SL Talent team.
• Work alongside the Global SL Talent Leader to ensure requirements, issues and actions raised by senior business leaders are prioritized and addressed by the Global SL Talent team or wider Talent eco-system
• As required, prepare presentations and reports to support effective engagement with business leadership
• Work alongside the SL Talent leaders to help build out Talent Consulting capability across the team. Attend cross-SL meetings to identify common needs, change initiatives/priorities and areas for improvement. Capture actions and help to drive the right outcomes.
• Ensure the availability of quality Talent reporting from the SL Talent team to the business (e.g. SL headcount, workforce planning, DAP hiring, D&I etc). Where required, develop and maintain reports, highlight points of interest and make recommendations on how to leverage the data to drive key Talent priorities (working closely with PDRA)
• As directed by SL Talent Leaders complete research on emerging trends/issues either internal or external and present highlights to leadership
• Where necessary work to assess Talent related SL/business performance issues. Engage and work with the appropriate Talent function to consider appropriate solutions and (where necessary) raise requests for change investment via the approval channels
• As directed by SL Talent leaders and Talent Consultants help respond to complex and urgent Talent queries pertaining to key stakeholder groups, conduct analysis and/or leverage experience across Talent ecosystem to provide guidance and address talent matters
• As required, support delivery of key Talent processes and provide project coordination for the Global Talent team
• Due to global nature of the role; travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Awareness of business strategy and performance trends
• Ability to leverage information and/or internal data to prepare reports or presentations on behalf of the Global SL Talent Leader or leadership team. Ensure data and analytics can be presented effectively to leadership
• Ensure availability of regular reports working with colleagues across Talent and HRS. Analyze and maintain reporting.
• Analyze business issues/opportunities as they related to Talent/workforce issues. Assess root causes and propose solutions
• Partner with Talent teams to ensure the effective operation of the SL Talent team

Supervision Responsibilities:

• Work with SL Talent leaders to oversee and coordinate various initiatives as directed
• Where required, work as an SMR for the Service Line and input to the design, development and deployment of Talent solutions
• Build and maintain relationships and an internal network, including effective partnerships with senior stakeholders, across EY practices/departments that will enable personal effectiveness in the position
