Your key responsibilities as a Tax Manager will be reviewing, managing, and coordinating tax compliance and provision work for clients. You will participate in the recommendation and implementation of tax strategies that are aligned with clients' business objectives, correspond with legal counsel and tax authorities on client issues, participate in reorganization planning, research compliance and planning issues, and review individual, corporate and trust tax returns. You'll also lead and team with talented and innovative professionals dedicated to client service.

  • Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations;
  • Coaching and mentoring more junior staff to execute assignments with accuracy and completeness;

  • Identify opportunities for providing tax planning and other special services and contribute to thought leadership materials;

To qualify for the role you must have

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of Canadian Corporate tax experience;
  • An accounting designation CPA or other related experience or certification relevant to an area of specialization;
  • Ideally have completed the CPA Canada Fundamental Tax Course or Master's degree in taxation;
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability;
  • A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines;
  • Process oriented with excellent documentation skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
