Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, or other internationally recognized
association, with a minimum of five actuarial exams completed
o Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and actuarial-related software/tools
o A proven ability to manage time while working on multiple, often shifting, projects,
and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently under
pressure
o Excellent analytical and project management skills, along with a creative
approach to overcoming challenges
o Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand and persuade
on complex subjects both in writing and verball

Tax Senior – Wealth & Asset Management (FSO)

Your key responsibilities

As a senior in our wealth & asset management tax practice, you will be responsible for tax compliance and advisory work for clients. You will work with Managers through Partners on key client issues in domestic federal, international and state and local taxation with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives. You will be involved in tax compliance accounts for hedge funds, mutual funds and/or private equity funds.

Skills and attributes for success

· Solid technical knowledge, ideally in the asset management tax area

· Ability to analyse trading reports for tax character and book tax differences, such as wash sales, constructive sales, straddles, and other securities issues

· Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership

· Managing multiple work assignments and deadlines

To qualify for the role, you must have

· A Bachelor’s degree in an accounting, finance or a business discipline, and/or an advanced degree in tax or law

· A minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent relevant tax experience

· A CPA (or equivalent internationally recognized accounting designation), Enrolled Agent and/or LLM certification preferred; non-certified and partially certified hires are required to become certified before being eligible for promotion to manager

· Although not required, the ideal candidate would have experience serving clients in the wealth & asset management industry, which may include mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds or other investment vehicles

· Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax

Ideally, you’ll also have

· Excellent teaming, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills

· Demonstrated skills in the asset management tax area

· A thorough understanding of building client relationships

o Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and/or other
related major
o A minimum of five (5) years of recent relevant experience in an actuarial-oriented
position; prior actuarial consulting experience preferred
o Actively pursuing a professional actuarial designation with the Institute and
Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, or other internationally recognized
association, with a minimum of five actuarial exams completed
o Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and actuarial-related software/tools
o A proven ability to manage time while working on multiple, often shifting, projects,
and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently under
pressure
o Excellent analytical and project management skills, along with a creative
approach to overcoming challenges
o Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand and persuade
on complex subjects both in writing and verball

expect plenty of autonomy in this role, so you’ll need the motivation to take initiative and
seek out opportunities to improve our current relationships and expand our business in
the evolving market. You’ll also need to be a great communicator, as well as flexible in
the face of often rapidly changing projects. If you’re serious about consulting and ready
