Sr Analyst Finance Transformation jobs at Elastic in Costa Rica

This role will be working out of the West US time zone.

• Act as a business partner to Sales and Finance in developing strategies for sophisticated deals with a focus on financial and revenue compliance.
• Execute against and maintain AMER geographic Deal Desk support framework.
• Provide Deal Desk support for super-geo Manager.
• Implement and lead approvals for non-standard deals and optimally collaborate across Sales, Finance, and Legal.
• Serve as a trusted adviser to sales executives and their teams on pricing, product configuration, and business terms to support sales efforts.
• Strong presence and communication with the Field.
• Ability to implement strategies and handle under supervision sales enablement, deal optimization, profitability and strategic positioning initiatives.
• Drive and complete decision reviews, approvals, and executing across proficiencies (quoting, legal, revenue, etc.).
• Support the global Deal Desk leadership to deliver consistent and outstanding support to our sales organization.
• Propose and support initiatives as part of the long term strategy for the Deal Desk team and business.
• Team centric, motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment to help our growing business.
• Assess Financial and revenue risk on non-standard deals and understand and embed financial/legal compliance.
• Propose and incorporate custom terms and legal edits into order forms and contract documents.
• Coordinate and handle cross-departmental approvals outside of standard detailed workflow.
• Maintain and update repository of legal language templates for non-standard deals for specific offerings
• Understand and carry out revenue recognition policies across all deals
• Build and handle detailed CRM workflows around Deal Desk sales engagement and Revenue team alerting for non-standard orders.
• Conduct due diligence and construct financial and legal requirements for changes in existing offerings and launch of new offerings.
• Identify gaps in current Deal Desk processes (both operational and systematic) and create improvements for efficiencies.
• General experience in building IT requirements and enhancements, and project management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business Administration/Legal or related competency.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Sales Operations, Channel Operations, Deal Desk, Contract Administration or related.
• Strong attention to detail
• High proficiency in MS Office or GSuite, Salesforce.com (CPQ a plus).
• Experience working in a SaaS or high-tech company is also a plus.

• Sales Support for Quote creation and approvals in CPQ
• Order Form review and signatory
• Opportunity review for completeness including paperwork (Order form, MSA’s, PO’s etc.) ensuring all required paperwork is in and clean to be considered a valid order to be booked
• Ensuring compliance with the Booking policy and Business Integrity guidelines
• Sales order generation
• License provisioning for self-managed products
• Management of all queries or questions from Sales via Case Queue
• Debook of Deals for various reasons
• Collaboration with Billing and Cloud AR team on end to end transaction processing
• Participation in cross functional programs and projects

• Attention to detail is a critical skill required for this role
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple contending requests coming via email, Slack, case queue, etc.
• Ability to advise sales on elements preventing deal booking and providing mentorship on what can be done to remediate
• Understanding of Subscription / SAAS Software business
• Ability to guide on treatment of complex booking scenarios
• Experience of SFDC / CPQ or similar CRM is crucial
• Reporting, dashboarding and analytical skills are very useful (but can be developed on the job)
• Collaboration for overall success of team, versus individual achievement
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing (any Portuguese language skills a plus)
• The ability to work extended hours to cover Month-end, Quarter-End volumes

As a Sr Analyst, you will play a meaningful role supporting the Program Manager in making data driven decisions as well as supporting the execution and implementation of key programs. • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in accounting, finance, project management, business analysis, and business operations support.
• B.A. or B.S. or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Information Technology with a focus on Business applications
• Experience working with Consumption and Marketplace Business Models
• Experience working on finance projects that have enabled Cloud Service Provider Marketplace support.
• Proficient understanding in the order to cash transaction flow, bookings reporting, sales reporting, accounting, procure to pay, and data reconciliation.
• Prior experience with data mapping, process mapping, system flows, process narrative and data integration
• Good interpersonal and team building skills; ability to influence/inspire change across functional and business boundaries
• Ability to take charge of sophisticated tasks with minimal mentorship and develop new strategies and new ways of approaching business challenges independently
• Continuous improvement mentality and ability to suggest and implement new and better ways to work
• Excellent SQL and Excel skills
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
