As a Technical Staff AI Platform Engineer, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for shaping and driving the architecture of Dell’s AI platform. You will lead the design of core platform capabilities that enable scalable AI development across multiple product lines. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural vision, and the ability to influence engineering teams to deliver high-quality, future-ready AI infrastructure.
You will:
• Define and own the technical architecture for Dell’s AI platform, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to deliver platform capabilities that support advanced AI workloads (e.g., LLM training/inference, multi-modal systems).
• Lead technical execution of complex platform projects, resolving challenges that span multiple engineering teams and product lines.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve platform performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
Essential Requirements
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 15+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Proven experience in architecting and delivering large-scale platforms in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes/OpenShift, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and infrastructure requirements for large-scale workloads.
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and drive alignment on architectural decisions.
Desirable Requirements
• Experience building platforms optimized for Generative AI or agent-based systems.
• Contributions to internal or open-source projects in AI or cloud-native ecosystems.

Define and own the architecture and standards for AI-assisted engineering across Dell solution platforms, develop frameworks and governance models for integrating AI tools (e.g., code generation, intelligent testing, automated documentation) into software development workflows at scale.

Essential Requirements

Deep expertise in cloud-native platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software delivery.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and integrating LLM-based services into engineering workflows.
Exceptional ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and drive alignment on architectural decisions.
Desirable Requirements
Experience implementing AI-driven automation frameworks for testing, security, or performance optimization at scale.
Familiarity with virtualization and hypervisor technologies, especially VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, and related ecosystem components.
Knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and enterprise storage solutions, including VMware vSAN and Dell PowerStore.
Understanding of network virtualization and SDN technologies, particularly VMware NSX, including concepts like VXLAN, distributed switching, and micro-segmentation.
Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift for container orchestration and integration with virtualized environments.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm) and CI/CD practices for enterprise environments.
