Cybersecurity Incident Response Senior Advisor Permanent Night Shift jobs at Dell in Malaysia, Sepang

As a Cyber Incident Response Analyst L2, this role is responsible for investigating and reporting of security incidents supporting all Dell Business Units.  This role requires experience in all phases of Cybersecurity incident response including preparation, analysis, notification, response, recovery, and post-mortem activities.  This role interacts with all levels of the organization and is viewed as a subject matter expert on all Incident Response activities.

You will:

• Serve as a global escalation point and work with the Incident Response Team members on tickets to manage / prioritize queue assignments

• Perform technical cyber security investigations on security incidents, root cause analysis, recommend and mitigate the effects caused by an incident

• Participate in After Actions Reports creation based on Lessons Learned from critical cybersecurity incidents

• Investigate/analyze large and unstructured data sets, malicious artifacts, and EDR tools to identify trends and anomalies indicative of potential threats

• Liaison with stakeholders and internal CSIRT teams to serve as a Cyber Security Champion to help implement best security practices and mature the Security Incident Response process to meet the needs of the business.

• 3-5 years hands-on experience with focus in areas such as systems, network, application, and information security

• Exceptional ability to conduct cybersecurity investigations, analyze and distill relevant findings and determine root cause

• Strong knowledge of security and web technologies such as SIEM, full packet capture, Firewall/NGFW, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, UEBA, networking protocols, Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix platforms and tools with related experience in corporate infrastructures

• Strong technical experience and familiarity of various types and techniques of cyber-attacks, with the incident response and threat hunting lifecycles

• Excellent analytical thinking, time management and coordination skills and excellent command in English (both written and verbal)

Desirable Requirements

• Industry recognized certification (CISSP, SANS GCIH, GCIA, GNFA, GREM, etc.)

• Knowledge and experience in: Digital Forensics, reverse malware tools, and scripting languages

You will:

• Participate on various projects & initiatives across Dell providing security guidance & direction while ensuring adherence to Dell’s security policies & standards.

You will:

• Support Dell Government Relations efforts in the Asia/Pacific Region related to Dell’s operations and supply chain presence across the geographic area.

• Position Dell regional leadership with regional governments to advance Dell priorities and assist Global Operations, Legal, Marketing, and other business divisions with government engagement and crisis mitigation.

What you’ll achieve

As a client engineer you will be responsible for managing the client IT infrastructure and environment, you will be involved in troubleshooting complex problems, working on priority incident resolutions and maintaining the client’s IT infrastructure. You will work with multiple resolver groups within the Managed Services teams to ensure incidents are root caused and resolved.

You will:

• Troubleshoot highly complex, intricate technical problems to ensure optimal service levels
• Design, deploy, and manage VMware Horizon VDI and vApp solutions in on-premises environment.
• Work on multiple incidents and projects and be the point of escalations.
• Consider potential security risks to the customer when delivering service, support vendor escalations through direct vendor contact
• Communicate with cross-functional and inter-department teams including managerial audiences
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to the internal knowledge bases and departmental documentation.

Essential Requirements

• Undergraduate degree with 10 years of related professional experience, experience using Service Now to manage incidents, problems, and requests
• Exposure to working for large complex organizations on the following skillset:
  • VMWare Horizon
  • Intune & SCCM for applications and patching
  • M365 Administration
  • Microsoft Security Center, Defender
  • Develop and maintain custom automation scripts and tools to streamline VDI provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance processes (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Strong knowledge of vSphere , ESXi , vCenter , and App Volumes .
• Strong organization and planning skills to contribute to the successful delivery of program objectives.
• Assist with capacity planning, patch management, and proactive monitoring.
• Experience with troubleshooting of end user devices / user issues, ability to document processes and lifecycle management of knowledge base documents, ability to set task priority and dynamically adjust as the customer requires

Desirable Requirements

• Certifications (VMWare Horizon, M365 Certifications)
• Willingness to participate in a customer support 24/7 and On-Call rotation.
• Collaborate with software developers and DevOps teams to integrate VDI systems with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, or application delivery frameworks.
• Hands-on experience developing custom tools, dashboards, or REST APIs to support virtual desktop infrastructure.
