Description:

As Strategic Enterprise Representative for the UK, you will be selling our award winning NoSQL database to the Global 2000 directly. You will be part of an over-achieving sales team that has established Couchbase as a dominant player in the database world.

You’ll be driving strategic enterprise opportunities, selling the value of our product and services offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and be responsible for the execution of their Franchise Plan
  • Align with pre-sales solution engineering, channel partner strategies to meet individual goals. As well as liaising with SDR teams & sales follow-up of marketing qualified leads
  • Create and deliver pipeline generation programs and activities in their territory that leverage buying and developer ecosystems, including events, digital, cloud partner, and our developer relations teams.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process in their territory, pipeline generation, deal qualification, relationship management, closing and contract execution, post sales customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update sales reporting tools sets for forecasting, lead generation and deal management.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the Couchbase platform and demonstrate effective communication of our use cases to their territory prospects and customers in both Cloud SaaS and on-premise environments.
  • Ability to lead their virtual team to execute their plans, document and communicate strategies to their management team and keep customer and forecasting systems up to date.
  • Demonstrate ability and passion for customer satisfaction and new customer acquisition to grow their franchise and contribute to the growth of the UK Enterprise business in Couchbase.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience selling enterprise technology in a fast-paced and extremely competitive market, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to evidence experience in closing 1 million USD deals.
  • Sales experience in database technology or its ecosystem is a strong advantage.
  • Versatile in selling through partner ecosystems within each country in the UK region.
  • Experience in cloud providers marketplace is an additional advantage.
  • Previous experience in selling professional services.
  • Completion of MEDDIC or equivalent sales methodology training.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively communicate the value of the Couchbase platform to both customers and prospects.
  • Experience in SaaS sales or a solid understanding of hyperscalers and as-a-service offerings.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and high-performing individual with a quick learning ability.
  • Proficiency in English, and within a reasonable travel distance from London is preferred

As a Partner Sales Rep you will be selling our award winning NoSQL database Enterprise Solution and Capella Al. With a focus on accounts up to $500m in revenue. You will be part of a high achieving sales team that has established Couchbase as a dominant player in the local database market. You’ll hold a direct quota for new business, and you will predominately work through our channel infrastructure to grow and develop new business opportunities. You will work to build relationships with prospective customers, generate leads, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.

You’ll be building a volume business and selling the value of our product and services offering.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days/week in the London office.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute your Sales Franchise Plan
  • Create and deliver pipeline generation programs and activities in your territory that leverage our partner infrastructure.
  • Close business to meet or exceed quarterly, and annual objectives
  • Acquire net new logos
  • Uncover opportunities at existing partner accounts and establish new accounts to develop sales pipeline
  • Lead presentations on the company and product line to potential customers in partnership with partners
  • Work closely and coordinate with an extended team of pre-sales, professional services, marketing and, SDR’s and legal business partners.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process in their territory, pipeline generation, deal qualification, relationship management, closing and contract execution, post sales customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the Couchbase platform and demonstrate effective communication of our use cases to prospects and customers in both Cloud SaaS and on-premise environments.
  • Demonstrate ability and passion for customer satisfaction and new customer acquisition to grow their franchise and contribute to the growth of the Enterprise business in Couchbase.
  • Provide reliable forecast information to upper management

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with MEDDIC sales methodology
  • 6+ years of direct experience selling Tech B2B solutions
  • Results driven, accountable, resourceful and self- motivated
  • Top 10% performer as an individual contributor, with a track record of overachievement (President's Club, Rep of the Year, etc.)
  • Proficiency in selling cloud solutions through a consumption-based business model,
  • Extensive exp of selling through an ISV/Partner model
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Previous exp working for a fast-paced, start-up/scale up US organization would be advantageous.
  • Highly driven and self-motivated, with a natural talent for relationship building.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will add value to the EMEA (German speaking) Sales team by partnering with Enterprise Sales Representatives to uncover new business leads, assist in pipeline growth and expansion of revenue streams. In uncovering sales opportunities, you’ll learn about the inner workings of the world's largest, most successful companies. You’ll help to bring value to them whether by reducing their total cost of ownership in database infrastructure or helping them through their digital transformation objectives. You need to be competitive, driven to win. Eager to learn about database architecture, SaaS, and technology in general. Your inquisitive nature and ability to research and make meaningful connections with potential customers will be put to the test. Many of our SDRs go on to other positions within the sales organization and throughout Couchbase.
Location:Hybrid working with3 days required in the London office.
Lead Generation
  • Work with the sales team to develop and lead inbound and outbound campaigns from idea-generation through to qualified call to targeted prospect lists
  • Update lead and prospect activity in Salesforce to ensure effective lead management
  • Nurture early phase opportunities for future pipeline potential
  • Follow up on sales inquiries from inbound emails, phone calls, events, and other sources
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
Technology
  • Develop strong knowledge of the Couchbase product offerings, competitors and the general database market
  • Become an expert in technology sales platforms like Salesforce, Outreach.io, DiscoverOrg, 6sense, Cognism, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to maintain and update contacts and leads
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passionate about cutting-edge technology with the aptitude to learn new and exciting IT software products, as well as, understand business-critical solutions quickly
  • Thrive in a dynamic fast-paced, collaborative team environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Fluent in German
  • 1-2+ years of sales or customer service experience (which can include experience garnered while completing your degree)

Couchbase is looking for a hands-on, data-oriented Compensation Partner. You will own and partner on compensation initiatives broadly, along with another Compensation Partner, reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards. You will take specific ownership of your designated functional areas, working closely with the HR Business Partners and leaders for those areas and solidify Couchbase offerings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Implement our rewards philosophy and principles in compensation-related decisions and processes
  • Play a key role to support the research, analysis, design, communication, and implementation of compensation programs
  • Contribute to the development of compensation bands based on market data
  • Act as a consultant and analyst on equity programs
  • Plan for and execute our compensation cycles in conjunction with the compensation and cross functional teams
  • Monitor, interpret and implement relevant changes related to government regulations/legislation
  • Partner and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Recruiters, Sales Compensation / Operations, Finance, Managers, and Leadership on compensation matters
  • Understand our employees’ needs with regard to compensation, what feedback they have and how we can optimize for that
  • Design, develop and deliver educational material on compensation to build employee understanding of the value being offered to them

SKILLS

  • Circa 5+ years experience within a global compensation function
  • Have experience and an understanding of budgeting
  • Demonstrated robust understanding of compensation practices and market conditions across numerous countries and regions
  • A strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data
  • Proven analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets including building and maintaining complex models
  • Experience communicating effectively across teams, including translating quantitative insights to non-quantitative audiences
  • Strong consultation and collaboration skills
  • Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

You’ll be driving strategic enterprise opportunities, selling the value of our product and services offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and be responsible for the execution of their Franchise Plan
  • Align with pre-sales solution engineering, channel partner strategies to meet individual goals. As well as liaising with SDR teams & sales follow-up of marketing qualified leads
  • Create and deliver pipeline generation programs and activities in their territory that leverage buying and developer ecosystems, including events, digital, cloud partner, and our developer relations teams.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process in their territory, pipeline generation, deal qualification, relationship management, closing and contract execution, post sales customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update sales reporting tools sets for forecasting, lead generation and deal management.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the Couchbase platform and demonstrate effective communication of our use cases to their territory prospects and customers in both Cloud SaaS and on-premise environments.
  • Ability to lead their virtual team to execute their plans, document and communicate strategies to their management team and keep customer and forecasting systems up to date.
  • Demonstrate ability and passion for customer satisfaction and new customer acquisition to grow their franchise and contribute to the growth of the UK Enterprise business in Couchbase.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience selling enterprise technology in a fast-paced and extremely competitive market, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to evidence experience in closing 1 million USD deals.
  • Sales experience in database technology or its ecosystem is a strong advantage.
  • Versatile in selling through partner ecosystems within each country in the UK region.
  • Experience in cloud providers marketplace is an additional advantage.
  • Previous experience in selling professional services.
  • Completion of MEDDIC or equivalent sales methodology training.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively communicate the value of the Couchbase platform to both customers and prospects.
  • Experience in SaaS sales or a solid understanding of hyperscalers and as-a-service offerings.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and high-performing individual with a quick learning ability.
  • Proficiency in English, and within a reasonable travel distance from London is preferred
