The Citi US Equity Strategy team within Citi Equity Research is seeking a Senior Associate level professional. This person will be integral to the analysis incorporated into the four components of our current product offering. The primary product is core US Equity Strategy predicated on proprietary fundamental analysis while leveraging macro inputs and perspectives. This is complemented by unique Thematic and ETF Strategy offerings. An ancillary focus on US Small/Mid Cap rounds out the product focus.

The Research Sr Associate is a seasoned professional role. The expectation is for immediate impact on all facets of our strategy product. You will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contribute to the development of new analyses, while improving current processes and workflow. Candidates should possess working knowledge of economic and investment concepts and applications. Exceptional data science capability is a prerequisite. Strong communication skills including interpersonal, written and presentation round out the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Citi Research focuses on delivering high quality investment insights to investors on a global basis with a high emphasis on independence and objectivity in its products and insights
  • Analytic support involving data analysis and manipulation from multiple sources. Advanced excel and coding skills are critical to this.
  • The unit produces regular written research, hosts investor meetings with company management teams, holds conference calls with industry consultants and regularly communicates with clients (both internal and external)
  • Modeling: Maintaining & updating existing company models; creating new models; maintaining relative value sheets
  • Research: Assist with the publication of earnings previews/recaps, initiation reports, deep dive notes as well other group products
  • Communication: Assist with client inquires and requests (internal and external)
  • Events: Assist with coordination of investor meetings (management meeting & field trips) and conference calls with consultants
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
