Description:

The Fund Accounting Associate Analyst is an entry level position responsible for assisting in a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the calculation of daily and periodic Net Asset Valuations (NAVs) for funds and the distribution of associated unit prices.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in distributing fund data to internal and external business partners as well as coordinate and review offshore production activities
  • Ensure accurate fund records through review of reconciliation reports
  • Communicate cash position to the investment advisor as well as research cash and funding holdings differences with custodian
  • Help process, balance, and reconcile shareholder activity with transfer agent
  • Calculate daily net asset value and market value of portfolio holdings
  • Provide support on audits and review work for adherence to procedures and compliance requirements
  • Analyze/monitor client budgets and ensure fund expenses are paid in a timely manner
  • Assist in completing all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements as well as assist with the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and board materials
  • Assist in preparing and calculating tax information and reporting requirements
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in business related area
  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

The Fund Accounting Intermediate Associate Analyst is an entry level position responsible for assisting in a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations team.   • Generate, review and reconcile reports and data extracts from accounting system on a monthly basis. Research and resolve differences.
  • Support Fund Accounting Operations teams by researching issues or incidents relating to application environments and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Maintain accounting system extract scheduler and provide ad-hoc extracts.
  • Assist Fund Accounting Operations teams by coordinating system settings and guidance on required actions surrounding special pricing events.
  • Ah-hoc project work related to client conversions, system migrations or enhancements.
  • Conduct application enhancement install checkout testing in prod
  • Research and resolve report issues in multiple reporting systems
  • Maintain banking file management system
  • Provide assistance on audits and review work for adherence to procedures and compliance requirements
  • Analyze and monitor client budgets and ensure fund expenses are paid in a timely manner
  • Assist in preparing and calculating tax information and reporting requirements

  • Ensure timely settlement of OTC Trades cash and identify and resolve an issues that arise.
  • Complete daily reconciliations and ensure any reconciliation breaks are resolved.
  • Complete daily Valuation of OTC positions, ensuring that valuations are accurate, reviewing any valuation queries or tolerance breaks.
  • Provides assistance in the implementation of process improvement.
  • Timely management and escalation of all requests inquiries issues errors, (mostly, but not limited to, post settlement)
  • Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
  • Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity
