What you'll be doing

The position is part of an expanding team, whose remit has grown to include Data Governance. Partnering with multiple area’s within Citi, from the Trading and Sales teams to Finance, Risk, and various 2LOD functions. You will:

  • Create Project/program plans, ensure strong governance to drive implementation, track tasks and work closely with relevant stakeholders. Help to provide input into and drive technology change, process and control framework enhancements.

  • Analyse and understand data – how it is created and transformed and consumed across other areas of the bank, to ensure effective distribution of Rates data aligned to the Citi Data Governance Policy Standard

  • Enhance and create controls to support business processes, regulatory or compliance risks or support data governance responsibilities with a goal of driving a robust, efficient and scalable business model across the Rates business.

  • Work with transformation leads within programs, to provide tracking and reporting status of plan execution to senior governance forums

  • Understand Citi Enterprise Architecture methodology and help drive effective process ownership within the business

What we need from you

  • Experience in financial markets or related industry, either in business or support functions preferred

  • Exposure to interest rate products or other financial markets’ products would be an advantage

  • Excellent communications skills (written / verbal) at all organisational levels.

  • Must be an energetic self-starter/able to drive initiative with minimal direction

  • Experience working with people of different levels across Sales, Trading, COO, Technology, 2LOD, Finance and Risk

  • Good knowledge of Markets workflows and the trade lifecycle

  • Ability to analyse data to understand issues, create controls and or provide solution’s

  • Able to create high quality presentations for Senior Management

  • Ability to lead / chair meetings, create action plans and ensure follow-ups are delivered

Education

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Ownership and coverage of DR market expansion across asset classes and geography

  • Partner with functional and business counterparts to implement global product strategy and lead strategy related work-streams

Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in capital markets / transaction management preferred
  • Foreign language skills (e.g., Spanish) a plus

  • Strong commercial acumen, abilities to negotiate and influence
