  • Implement automated build, test and deployment pipelines utilizing latest DevOps tools available at Citi.

  • Strong experience in validating testing and have quality product at early stage of lifecycle and ability to partner with QA engineers to drive test automation efforts

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reusable, shared libraries, and components. Mentor/coach junior team members and enforce governance with respect to application development and testing standards and best practices to continuously enhance code quality.

  • Research and understand front-end development and DevOps best practices based on industry and Citi standards.

  • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure that the application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.

Required Skills

  • Seasoned professional with 7+ years of experience in the IT industry. Sound technical background with a passion to explore emerging technologies.

  • Experience designing and developing cloud native applications with a microservices architecture running on Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes platform

  • Application development experience using Java, Spring, SQL, REST APIs, Kafka/ IBM MQ, CI/CD tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins •

  • Experience developing web applications in JavaScript, Angular, HTML and CSS.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum work environment and managing stakeholders in a global and dynamic environment.

This position reports to the Wealth Products and Operations Control Testing Head within the Citi COO organization’s Central Testing Utility; and is an execution-oriented individual contributor position accountable for end-to-end controls monitoring of the Wealth Products and Operations department – i.e., operational controls performance assurance/testing – which includes design, execution, results reporting, and insight sharing related to the above scope of controls monitoring/testing.

In this role, you are expected to be:

  • Supports the Controls Testing Utility by acting on assessing control design, designing control testing tools, developing control testing procedures, ensure control testing transitions, dispositioning exceptions, and developing insights.
  • Carries key responsibility for Control Design Assessment (CDA) by executing CDA checklist/procedures for controls and recording results in Citi Risk & Control (CRC).
  • Owns significant portions of control testing design activity, which includes writing control testing tool descriptions, and completing control testing and QUEST setup.
  • Develops control testing procedures in Confluence and is responsible for obtaining necessary signoffs from covered businesses and functions.
  • Performs a uniquely significant role on training Central Execution team overseas on all designed control testing tools and established control testing procedures.
  • Has the ultimate decision on controls testing outlier disputes, holds the responsibility to raise concerns through IMPACT Concerns or QUEST Observation Logs based on the Business.
  • Creates materials for Operational Risk Forums (ORF) and senior meetings as needed and investigates causes for results that are deviating from trends and escalate situations that pose excessive risk(s).
  • Develops and drives quality-checking routines to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, operating guides, and owned control testing.
  • Supports team members on topics ranging from control testing design to performance management and control testing platforms basics.

Description of the Role

This product management role is part of the Global Liquidity and Cash Concentration (‘GLCC’) solutions area. The position entails responsibility for Cash Concentration, Notional Pooling and Real-Time Liquidity Product Management and Commercialization activities for the South Asia cluster encompassing product strategy and performance, product and platform delivery/ rollout, deal management, commercialization risk & control and re-platforming.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Performance

  • Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap based on market developments & customer needs.
  • Provide inputs to investment strategy and prioritization across GLCC solutions in liaison with cluster teams.
  • Gather market intelligence and develop market sizing to identify the attractiveness of particular markets segments and product offerings. Define and analyze sector trends, opportunities and issues.
  • Plan and execute pricing and expense management initiatives to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Drive management visibility of performance drivers and delivery to plan through regular updates and presentations.
  • Alignment with multiple stakeholder groups including Global/ Cluster Product partners, Operations, Technology, Sales, Banking, Legal and Risk teams to drive the product agenda.

Product & Platform Development/ Rollouts

  • Work with Global Product Development leads to support the rollout of new or enhanced products, features and global platforms to the cluster, while ensuring that all necessary approval requirements and governance processes are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with technology, operations and client-facing teams to plan and execute the phased migration of liquidity structures from legacy platforms to global platforms.

Commercialization

  • Drive client usage and commercial success of GLCC products, harnessing data/metrics and through alignment with LMS Solutioning, sales and banking teams.
  • Assist sales and relationship managers in identifying client needs and proposing solutions in line with business objectives.
  • Develop and update GLCC (including Notional Pooling) client collateral and internal collateral to support value articulation and commercialization efforts.
  • Ensure maintenance and updates to product content on internal and external channels.
  • Deliver trainings to client-facing teams on product positioning and usage.

Deal Management

  • Engage with and support LMS solutioning and client-facing teams on deals and client asks.
  • Ongoing support for deals including deal review, pricing approvals and exception handling.
  • Recommend and deliver process improvements in collaboration with onboarding, operations, technology and other teams.

Risk and Control

  • Build and maintain a pristine risk and controls environment in collaboration with global, and cluster partners.

  • Appropriate assessment of risks in reviewing and approving deals.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the product portfolio vis-à-vis established risk acceptance criteria.
  • Driving risk mitigation and remediation efforts in coordination with Legal, Risk, Sales, Banking, Operations and other teams.
  • Proactive identification, ownership and management of issues and incidents.
  • Contribute towards preparation and support for of audits / regulatory reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience
  • Experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline, preferably in Liquidity and Cash Management
  • Expertise or knowledge of interest rates and currencies is useful
  • Knowledge of Citi and TTS systems and processes is helpful

  • Architect, review and implement technical solutions that conform to Citi standards, deliver optimized client experience and competitive advantage while utilizing best-of-breed technology.

  • Develop reusable software components in a microservices cloud-native architecture. Develop high-performing Angular screens utilizing latest in-house frameworks and libraries with an emphasis on design patterns, reusability, code quality and secure coding practices.

  • Drive application development activities by partnering closely with stakeholders, product managers and business analysts to understand problem statement.

  • Implement automated build, test and deployment pipelines utilizing latest DevOps tools available at Citi.

  • Strong experience in validating testing and have quality product at early stage of lifecycle and ability to partner with QA engineers to drive test automation efforts

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reusable, shared libraries, and components. Mentor/coach junior team members and enforce governance with respect to application development and testing standards and best practices to continuously enhance code quality.

  • Research and understand front-end development and DevOps best practices based on industry and Citi standards.

  • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure that the application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.

Required Skills

  • Seasoned professional with 7+ years of experience in the IT industry. Sound technical background with a passion to explore emerging technologies.

  • Experience designing and developing cloud native applications with a microservices architecture running on Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes platform

  • Application development experience using Java, Spring, SQL, REST APIs, Kafka/ IBM MQ, CI/CD tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins •

  • Experience developing web applications in JavaScript, Angular, HTML and CSS.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum work environment and managing stakeholders in a global and dynamic environment.

  • Detail-oriented professional who can juggle priorities in a high-pressure, dynamic, global environment.

  • Strong analytical, inter-personal and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and a can-do attitude. Quick learner with the ability to multi-task, manage tight deadlines, adapt to changing requirements and deal with ambiguity without impacting delivery.

  • Detail-oriented and self-organized individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build trusted relationships and partner across a complex organization. Proactive and self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running. Willingness to ask questions, challenge the statusquo and seek out answers and a passion for continuous process improvements.

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Desirable Skills

  • Experience and Competencies Understanding of futures and options clearing workflow and experience working with futures exchanges and clearinghouses.

  • Experience working on application security standards and protocols such as Oauth, TLS, SSL, SSH, SFTP and PKI

  • Experience with distributed Cache (Gemfire/ Redis)
