The Senior Issue Manager - Vice President is responsible for the coordination and comprehensive management of issues with key stakeholders, such that Citi achieves and maintains compliance and appropriately remediates findings from internal and external reviews as well as self-identified issues. Includes coordinating with key stakeholders to investigate controls gaps or failures, develop corrective action plans, and provide robust challenge enabling the key stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions by addressing root causes and adopting enhanced discipline including consideration of lessons learned for the timely closure of issues.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination and comprehensive management of issues with key stakeholders
Support issue quality reviews ensuring compliance with Issue Management Policy, Standards and Procedures
Facilitate Business / Function Quality Control engagement across the full lifecycle of high impact issue remediations and key remediation programs
Maintain a robust tracking and reporting issue inventory including issue quality metrics to provide visibility on the status of control gaps and Issues quality control processes highlighting risk and escalating concerns in timely manner
Provide challenge enabling the key stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions to address root causes
Utilize analytics to assess issue remediation trends, identify key risks, and develop insights for process improvement
Support identification and analysis of potential control gaps and operational risks across Citi, leveraging data analysis to assess impact.
Support key stakeholders to develop corrective action plans to address identified control gaps or failures
Incorporate lessons learned guidance into the development of corrective action plans, promoting continuous improvement and timely closure of issues
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
Partner with internal audit, business units, and senior management, communicating effectively to drive issue resolution, influence decision-making, and promote a culture of risk awareness
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of teams and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry.
Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
Strong knowledge in the development and execution for controls.
Proven experience in control related functions in the financial industry.
Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes.
Understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices.
Understanding of Citi’s Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage at the senior management level.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

This role serves as a compliance risk officer for the Control Room within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for assisting with internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. In addition, engages with the ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply CRM program solutions that meet the Control Room and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework. Primary responsibilities include monitoring compliance risk behaviors and providing day-to-day Compliance advice relating to the handling of watchlist, restricted list, wall crossings, information barriers and insider trading/dealing risk, and guidance on related regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Assist in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance, programs, policies and practices for ICRM Control Room.
Provide guidance on rules and regulations relating to insider dealing risk, as well as provide transactional approvals and interpretation of internal compliance policies.
Assist with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations. This may include coordination with regulators and other parties
Collaborate with other internal areas including: Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact the supported business lines.
Support the business in performing timely compliance reviews of new products.
Assist in the development and administration of Compliance training for the supportedfunction/business/product.
Research any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures or other controls necessary to comply with the rules.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Overview of FTO Central PMO
Finance Transformation Office (‘FTO’) has been setup in 1Q 2021 to conceptualize, plan, drive and manage execution of many streams of Transformation Initiatives across Citi’s Finance organization globally.
Responsibilities:
Support development and Maintenance of detailed Transformation project plans along with intra-dependencies (within Finance) and inter-dependencies (with other Program Groups, Technology teams and businesses)
Work with the Initiative PMO teams to keep the respective Transformation plans up to date across all geographies and portfolios

Qualification
8+ years of work experience with significant part of that focused on Project Management, transformation and Governance initiatives preferably in Financial Services / Banks, with global exposure.
Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate group discussions to collaborate with participants across the end-to-end process and present work progress and results.
Skilled in creating storyboards for presentation to seniors to build consensus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Willingness to ask questions and ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts and requirements, related to product and process knowledge.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of various parts of a project/initiative, and following through until resolution.
Advanced MS Office skills: Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio.
