Assistant Vice President, Finance Reporting Senior Analyst(Internal Job Title: Assistant Vice President - C12) based inKowloon, Hong Kong

The Regulatory Reporting Analyst role is a senior analyst position within the Controllers Organization that will report up through the Global Head of Regulatory and Capital Reporting. The individual will support the preparation, analysis and submission of regulatory reports to various constituencies (local regulators, U.S. Federal Reserve, OCC, etc.) based on applicable requirements such as U.S. Regulatory and local regulatory reporting rules and instructions. The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly with other Finance and non-Finance functions throughout Citi, including the Businesses, Risk, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, as well as Enterprise Technology, & Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the production, review and timely submission of regulatory filings and reports to U.S. regulators including reports such as FR Y-9C, FR Y-14, Call Report, FFIEC 009, FR Y-15 and others.

  • Monitor and manage key metrics associated with reports to identify challenges and issues. Support implementation of processes and controls to mitigate the risk of inaccurate reporting.

  • Collaborate with the team to drive process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of the regulatory reporting process.

  • Assist the team during regulatory inquiries and examinations, delivering accurate information and analysis to aid regulatory reviews.

  • Work with peers and program leaders on the implementation of U.S. regulatory changes within the reporting framework.

  • Partner with Risk & Controls team to maintain and enhance an effective internal control’s structure.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of extensive experience within the financial services industry and regulatory reporting.

  • Foundational knowledge of U.S. regulatory reports such as those mentioned above along with familiarity in Basel III capital regulations, GAAP/SEC Reporting and stress testing frameworks like CCAR.

  • Able to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency in presenting information.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, and influence change.

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right team to solution them.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks in a complex and dynamic and work well as part of a team.

  • Experience managing large tasks in complex environments

  • This role is based within Wealth Markets, covering direct client activity in cash equity, listed derivatives and light OTC exotic equity products (e.g. equity swap, OTC accumulators, structured products). This position will be as a member of the execution team involved in covering Private Bank clients directly.
  • Part of the integrated client team, delivering execution strategy recommendations to active Private Bank trading clients and internal Marketing teams.
  • Actively market and develop a dedicated client base of between 20-30 long term accounts in order to achieve business revenue and service objectives. Identify client needs and objectives within overall investment objectives and match to service delivery capabilities.
  • Develop and update market intelligence to introduce single stock ideas through Citi Research and CPB research functions.
  • Maintain rigorous risk management approach with clients on their exposures in line with client risk tolerances.
  • Responsible for increasing sales across the product set from cash equities and listed derivatives to OTC derivatives (vanilla, barrier, equity swap, accumulators and decumulators).
  • Communicate/deliver/close on client investment proposals and new account pitches as part of the overall client team.
  • Ensure conformity with global Firm standards of client service, regulatory, compliance, and operating model.
  • Increase connectivity and engagement between Markets and Wealth clients and staff.
  • Actively participate in daily morning meetings and marketing team sales calls
  • Assist with the roll-out and development of the IT projects needed to expand and improve on the platform.
