Description:

Position Overview:

We are looking for ato design, implement, and scale performance and automation testing practices across our platform. This is a highly technical and hands-on role that requires deep expertise in AWS services (including Lambda, EKS, and S3), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm), and modern automation and performance testing tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and evolution of end-to-end test automation and performance strategy for complex distributed systems.
  • Implement scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using modern tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Lead performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter, k6, Gatling, and troubleshoot system bottlenecks.
  • Integrate automation and performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
  • Work with AWS services (Lambda, EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code via Terraform and Helm.
  • Collaborate with R&D, DevOps, and QA to align on quality goals and adopt best practices across services.
  • Define and execute test level scenarios (unit, integration, system, performance, chaos).
  • Build observability into the testing and performance lifecycle using Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.
  • Ensure high test coverage and system-wide visibility into resilience, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in software quality, test automation, and performance engineering.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services: Lambda, EKS, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and Git-based workflows (GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and asynchronous messaging systems in distributed cloud environments.
  • Solid background in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust).
  • Strong coding/scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience with observability and APM tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with chaos testing, failover validation, and resiliency patterns.
  • Exposure to security/performance hardening of services in production.
  • Strong collaboration skills across R&D, DevOps, and QA.
  • “Can-do” mindset, with the ability to solve problems proactively and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Deep understanding of data modeling , data quality , and pipeline performance optimization .

Technical Expertise:

  • Apache Spark : Expertise in writing efficient Spark jobs using PySpark , with experience running workloads on AWS EMR and/or Glue for large-scale ETL and analytical tasks.
  • AWS Services : Strong hands-on experience with S3 , Lambda , Glue , Step Functions , Kinesis , and Athena – including building event-driven and serverless data pipelines.
  • Solid experience in building and maintaining both batch and real-time (streaming) data pipelines and integrating them into production systems.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Proficient in using Terraform , AWS CDK , or SAM to automate deployment and manage scalable data infrastructure.
  • Python as a primary development language (with bonus points for TypeScript experience).
  • Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments, with strong debugging, testing, and performance-tuning capabilities.
