  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a Boston Scientific clinical position or minimum of 2 years with completed/passed IBHRE certification that is active.
  • External equivalent is a minimum of 3 years competitive CRM clinical work experience OR minimum of 6 years cardiac-related clinical work experience OR minimum of 4 years with completed/passed NASPE/IBHRE certification.
  • Ability to take rotational 24/7 call with a sales team involving holidays, weekends.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, device clinic and/or Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab.
  • Medical device sales, sales support, clinical education and/or clinical research experience.

About the role:
As a Field Service Technician II (MedSurg) at Boston Scientific, you will be on the front lines of delivering excellence in service for our innovative capital equipment portfolio. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for pre-installation assessments, installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service repair of a range of capital devices. These include Exalt-D Controller, StoneSmart Connect Console, Fluid Management System (FMS), iNod Console, and future capital products supporting our endoscopy and urology customers.

You will partner closely with the Field Sales Organization and other cross-functional teams to ensure our customers receive best-in-class support both onsite and remotely—enabling smooth clinical operations and a high-quality patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proposing system configurations compatible with endoscopic procedure room equipment

  • Managing clinical and technical customer relationships and expectations

  • Ensuring seamless evaluation periods and resolving adoption barriers during implementation

  • Capturing, tracking, and reporting customer issues through the Quality system

  • Providing technical and process support both onsite and remotely in collaboration with internal teams

  • Documenting systems and procedure rooms for remote support purposes

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of device implant coverage, basic troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up of company products.
  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms.
  • Attends device implants in the labs and operating room of hospital accounts and performs patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, product presentations, participation in conferences) and assists in identifying key decision makers to facilitate future sales.

In Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) we offer solutions for treating irregular heart rhythms and heart failure and protecting against sudden cardiac arrest. Boston Scientific develops, manufactures, and markets a broad array of products and services that enable less-invasive care for some of the most threatening cardiac conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of device implant coverage, basic troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up of company products.
  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms.
  • Attends device implants in the labs and operating room of hospital accounts and performs patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, product presentations, participation in conferences) and assists in identifying key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
  • Follows company and divisional guidelines for managing commercial inventory.
  • On-call duties may be required from time-to-time, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

Required qualifications:

  • 0-2 years’ work experience with bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Science, Math, Business, Nursing preferred and/or equivalent technical work experience.
  • Ability to take rotational 24/7 call with a sales team involving holidays, weekends.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, device clinic and/or Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab.
  • Medical device sales, sales support, clinical education and/or clinical research experience.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively where daily schedule varies by hours worked and tasks managed while remaining accountable to company, region and team goals.
  • The ability to understand, communicate and train others in the use and understanding of complex medical device software algorithms as it pertains to device therapy and diverse disease states.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the medical community including patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly motivated team where flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment are paramount and urgency often dictates a dynamic work schedule.

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
