Your responsibilities will include:

  • Successful completion of rapid onboarding – hosted virtually and in-person in BSC US facilities – to prepare for FARAPULSE launch support in US and OUS centers
  • Global support of FARAPULSE procedures during strategically-important launch periods
  • Support cross-functional efforts around FARAPULSE products, current and future, including data collection (Clinical), training (Med Ed, Sales Training), and customer engagement and VOC input (Marketing, R+D)
  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments and current items of interest in the industry.
  • Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate and train them on how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel at all levels including staff, physicians, and administrators (e.g. through casual conversation, meetings, participation in creating conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
  • Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of area/organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership and builds strategic partnerships to better the area/organization by leveraging relationships with their peers, management and across AF Solutions organization (Marketing, Training, and Strategic Planning).
  • Assist management in recruiting and coaching organizational talent and demonstrates effective change leadership. Provides direction and guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Develops relationships with key referring physicians, external fellows, NEPIs, other key physicians in order to promote market development and growth.
  • On-call duties may be necessary to support coverage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years clinical work experience in EP laboratories supporting commercial ablation procedures, including at least one product introduction and operation of a 3D electro-anatomical mapping system
  • Spatial perception to translate 2D imagery to 3D device positioning, including familiarity with fluoroscopic, intracardiac ultrasound and/or electroanatomic mapping imagery
  • Must accommodate flexible hours commensurate with global scope for occasional virtual engagements/meetings, ie central European time zone
  • Must be able to travel in a given month:
  • Up to 75% domestic and/or
  • Up to 50% international, with a valid passport or equivalent credential
  • Physical capacity and existing credentials to enter US EP labs, including fluoroscopy exposure and good standing with one or more vendor credentialing services
  • Capacity to conduct hands-on preclinical laboratories including live-animal models


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with initial introduction of multiple new products to physician customers
  • Interpretation of cardiac electrograms in left atrial catheterization procedures
  • Interpersonal flexibility and amicability to integrate quickly with full spectrum of laboratory-based characters, including physicians, administrators and nursing staff
  • Prior employment in a customer-facing, multi-disciplinary tiger team
  • Proximity to international hub airport
  • Experience in OUS medical device markets
  • Demonstrated leadership within local field clinical organization
  • Prior exposure to commercial FARAPULSE procedures and/or training
  • Conversational speaker of strategically valuable language(s): ie French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be$99,100 to $188,300, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is based in New Zealand, responsible for Auckland and regional including Hamilton, Northland and Palmerston, and reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Urology based in Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute on territory plans to deliver on annual revenue commitments and build a sustainable business over the longer term.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and drive new business in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with our internal stakeholders and territory colleagues
  • Plan and develop the market for our existing and new products in line with divisional goals & objectives.
  • Successfully complete divisional training programs, apply these skills in the field and maintain a high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with the broader Urology team to identify training, research and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Established contact person for hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff as it relates to BSC’s Urology business.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Complete market analysis and regular reporting as required.
  • Maintain all company assets, including assigned inventory, in good order and in accordance with BSC audit and process requirements.
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.

About this role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a key part in leading performance improvement of suppliers and increasing the supplier’s capabilities to consistently meet Boston Scientific’s requirements. Additionally, the Supplier Quality Engineer will support global sourcing, manufacturing operations, and global quality systems by participating in global communities of practice and value improvement projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluates supplier caused manufacturing yield issues, incoming quality issues, and field failures and applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving the issues. Interacts with suppliers.
  • Leads root cause investigation and resolution with suppliers for non-conformances identified within the material lifecycle. Reviews and approves supplier corrective action plans and verification of effectiveness documentation.
  • Works in a category team develop and execute category strategy. Monitors supplier performance to drive continuous improvement. Identifies opportunities to improve component quality and supplier quality system connection. Develop proactive quality initiatives with suppliers.
  • Plans and leads supplier audits to assess compliance with regulatory and Boston Scientific requirements, including resolution of audit observation. Sustains incoming material acceptance and flow. Supports evaluation of proposed changes at suppliers. Influences quality in new material introduction and establish quality expectations with suppliers during material development.
  • Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues. Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships within the divisions, plants, distribution centers, across the entire BSC network.
  • Establishes and cultivates a wide range of business relationships to facilitate completion of assignments. Participates in determining goals and objectives for projects. Leads projects within the department and represents a specialized field in larger project teams.

What we're looking for in you:
Minimum qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering or related technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with quality systems and processes, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently; organized and self-driven.
  • Strong communicator, adept at packaging and appropriately scaling information to the intended audience.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 20%.

Preferred qualifications:

  • BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering.
  • Experience with or working for medical device suppliers.
  • Demonstrated project management ability to influence cross functional global teams spanning quality, operations, R&D, and sourcing.
  • Experience in design controls, production controls, risk management, and CAPA.
  • Lead auditor of quality systems, ISO13485 or similar.
  • ASQ certification (CQE, CBA, SSGB, SSBB).

Maximum Salary: $ 156900
