• System Installation & Maintenance: Install, upgrade, and maintain mainframe subsystems and related software.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune subsystem performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Problem Diagnosis & Resolution: Analyze system logs, dump analysis, and performance reports to troubleshoot and resolve subsystem issues.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security policies, RACF/ACF2/Top Secret configurations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Rexx, JCL, CLIST, or Python to enhance system efficiency.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup: Participate in business continuity planning, backup solutions, and recovery testing.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in mainframe system programming with expertise in two or more subsystems (CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and ADABAS).
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in IBM mainframe technologies, SMP/E, JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, VTAM, TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in subsystem administration (CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ), with strong CICS installation and configuration skills.
• Hands-on knowledge of IBM utilities, RMF, SMF or other monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in scripting (JCL, Rexx, Python).
• Security configuration experience with RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in diagnosing mainframe subsystem issues.
• Communication: Ability to document processes, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
