The Private Wealth Strategist, part of Merrill’s Strategic Wealth Advisory Group, works with UHNW individuals and families to provide objective insights aimed at aligning financial and estate strategies with their goals. This is a highly visible position within Merrill Private Wealth Management (PWM) that works closely with Merrill advisors and PWM management in the assigned territories. The role partners with Merrill Advisors in client solicitation efforts and generating wealth transfer strategies for our UHNW clients and prospects. Develop recommendations and assist Advisors to implement customized planning strategies for UHNW families. Focus may be on transfer of inter-generational wealth, estate planning, diversification of a concentrated position, philanthropy, private planning business succession, risk management and retirement planning. The Relationship Manager supports the Financial Advisor team to further develop and enhance existing client relationships. Assist with and attend client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy, account performance, new products, and market developments in an effort to promote growth and acquisition. Engage portfolio managers, product specialists and/or team Senior Wealth Planner and Investment Management Specialist to support the coordination all sales and service activities. Works with the Financial Advisor and/or team Senior Business Manager to develop, implement, and monitor the team’s client service model. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Provide technical expertise in certain product areas (e.g. Corporate 401(k), Rule 144, Insurance, Wealth Management Workstation) Provide marketing and organizational support. Wealth Management Specialistposition may be filled at a Trainee, Specialist or Senior level depending on experience of the candidate and needs of the Financial Advisor Team. This position allows the individual to become fully licensed and achieve the appropriate designations required for the position. If Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses and approved designation are not currently held, must be obtained within a specified timeframe to be eligible for Specialist position.
